Love is in the air!
…and if there is one thing we love on BN, it’s LOVE!
2011 has been a great year on the Nigerian entertainment and fashion scene. It seems as though this streak of success has extended beyond the stage and into the homes of our beloved celebrities as well.
Engagements, weddings, babies and so much more!
Without much ado, BN turns the spotlight on 5 of our favourite “Young, Famous & In Love” Nigerian celebrity couples.
***
Hauwa Mukan & Keziah Jones
Neo-Soul musician, Keziah Jones and Smooth FM Radio On-Air Personality/Stylist/Footwear Designer, Hauwa Mukan make our list of “Young, Famous & In Love” celebrity couples. We have spotted the duo at various art-house, music and fashion events over the last year. We love their perfectly in-sync quirky style and we cannot wait for their wedding in 2012.

Sarah Ofili & Ikechukwu Onunaku
From their steamy on-stage antics at the AY show in London last year to their romantic tweets, rapper Ikechukwu and model/entrepreneur Sarah Ofili are not afraid to express their love. When we spotted Ikechukwu and Sarah on the red carpet at the P-Square Invasion concert a few months ago, we wrote “Dear Killz and Sarah, we eagerly await the BN Wedding xx Team BN” and as you probably know, our wish came true! Rapper Killz popped the question on Sarah’s birthday in October 2011. Check out that rock!

Adaeze & Joseph Yobo
Now, the married folk! After a whirlwind romance, beauty queen Adaeze and Footballer Joseph Yobo tied the knot at the very beginning of 2010. Since then, their family has been blessed with a +1, their son Joey and then they moved to Turkey where Super Eagles Captain Joseph plays with 2010/2011 Süper Lig champions, Fenerbahçe.

Nicole Chukwueke & Naeto C
The Super C has enjoyed tremendous success this year – from performances in numerous countries all over the world to hit singles including his most recent hit, “5 & 6″. Model/”Ours by Juliada” Beauty Entrepreneur Nicole Chukwueke and Naeto C made their first (and only) red carpet appearance at the 2010 MTV Africa Music Awards in Lagos. Since then the couple have kept a very low profile though it was recently confirmed that they will be getting married in the New Year.

Stephanie & Kalu Uche
This couple kept their relationship strictly under wraps until their intimate wedding in Port Harcourt earlier this year. Now, beauty queen/actress Stephanie and her footballer beau Kalu Uche are the proud parents of a baby girl.

Nice. Loves it. Needed this positivity after reading all the hate on Linda’s blog. Made me really truly appreciate that sometimes when God says no, he may be trying to protect you. When he does say yes, it’s a beautiful thing approved by him. Loving this lot, especially Hauwa n her man, they’re almost identical, those are the ones I have noticed last forever.

This makes me so happy! Love seeing couples in love! I think Hauwa and Keziah are sooo cute together!
Nigeria has NO HOPE!! America predicted a failed state by 2015, looks like it may happen. Corruption is rampant, with the so called elite clowning about (stealing like its a profession), lack of basic infrastructure and health Care has got deprived Nigerians losing their lives on a daily… and their blood is on the land. Finally the fabric of the society has been damaged with almost everyone lacking in morals and hypocrisy is the order of the day. Finally the main reason why this country has no hope is because of one simple thing lacking>>> (LOVE). Nigerians have no love for one another and that’s why a simple marriage ceremony can generate so much hate. And the Pastors that should help are busy trying to grow the biggest church in country, simultaneously buying private jets when all we need is love.
If you love your self & family i suggest you all should try emigrating before 2015…. a word is enough for the wise.
True talk! Leave them, let them sit there. They are busy loving forgetting that the country offers no hope, security, basic infrastructure, job opportunities or adequate healthcare for their future generations to come. That is why they keep pouring acid on themselves due to frustration. We Nigerians need to take a leaf from Ghana but I know our selfishness and pride won’t allow such.
thanks my dear ! Nigerians lack love & compassion which explains all the inhumane acts that occur there daily, it has nothing to do with the greedy government, the citizens themselves need to be more compassionate towards each other.
I just asked Linda Ikeji what humanitarian service she has done to give back to the Nigerian community that supports her blog and aids in giving her good digits cheque from google ! Same goes to you BN,I don’t know how much you generate from this website but pls give back to the Nigerian community, every little help goes a long way.
My own principle is this, when you spot a problem before you present or talk about it you better have some kind of a solution attached.
Alright, thank you for your comment. Has this comment changed anything? *pauses, so you can answer* No right?! Maybe you are using the wrong page to voice your opinion, try doing that infront of parliament or on tv. Infact, start a youth forum to discuss such issues on TV preferably.
Parable begins:
We have issues, lots of it but we cant just sit on a pile of dump (being Nigeria’s issues) and mope. Atleast we can get up and play around on the pile of dirt while we also try figure out how to move it. Perharps all that kicking of dirt will soften the soil.
Parable ends.
Yay for Hauwa and Keziah…they seem so alike!
@at osama bin lagos, please carry your comment else where, we know our problems and we would solve it in time… talking about love, I dont think you have showed any in your comment… Biko just love the post and go
ps: Lovely couples but its incomplete as me boo and myself arent there :p
Yes, (solve it in time) that is what Nigerians have been saying since I was first brought to Nigeria in 1984. It’s 2011 and our country still cannot boast of uninterrupted power supply and Nigerians are flying to India and China for surgical procedures. You people should sit there and keep dreaming. I guess “love” is what will give our kids a sound education in sinking Naija where our higher institutions have turned to cult/rape headquarters, and our society one where people constantly pour acid on one another. Anyway, na una sabi. Keep living in denial.
justsayingjack (same goes for Osama bin Wetin): And what are YOU doing about it? I love how we black folk love to blame everyone else for everything — it’s either slavery, colonialism, racism, military rule or corruption, but never our OWN fault or complicity. Well, I have news for all you Internet Revolutionaries, EVERY Nigerian (admittedly to varying degrees) is responsible for the condition that Nigeria is in — either by acts of commission or omission!
@ Dr ok ohh…. the world is watching!
Google failed state Nigeria, then you’l realise there’s no time.
@osama bin lagos
This is certainly not about living in denial. Yes, there’s some truth in what you and the osama or whatever he/she is called said, but how have you as an individual contributed to help? Exactly! You just sit down and rant endlessly. Also, bella naija is clearly not the site to express this. I’m sorry, if you’re Nigerian and you sit in another Man’s land saying you’re running away from Nigeria because ‘it is a failed state’ or ‘it’ll be a failed state in 2015′ because some country predicted that; then I must say you’re highly incomprehensible. The ‘failed state’ still produces way more successful people than those who toil and work day & night doing per hour jobs achieving nothing. I suggest you create a blog to express yourself concerning these issues and stay off entertaining websites, also you should try helping yourself rather than just blabbing.
Usually, I detest long comments; this is however necessary.
Chei Ikechukwu don carry Mrs. Ofili! Nice one man.
Am so happy for Nicole and Naeto C. We all went to the same secondary school and knowing they’ve achieved so much makes me sooo proud of them…
wish u guys all the best….
Osama bin Lagos you are right but you should not post such things on Bella naija the only Nigerian forum that don’t feed on hate and tribalism pls this is the only place I get peace of mind go and post that in Linda blog, nairaland or naijapals and nvs where hate thrives and leave bellanaija alone. Besides the entertainment industry is the only thing putting a smile on the face of Nigerians.
Back to the main topic, nice pictures makes a man waan fall in lov and get married.
I guess some of you cannot handle the truth but the truth must be told. Keep living in a utopia as if not talking about it will make the problems go away.
Well some people care about their nation well enough to refuse to gallow in denial.
I saw nothing wrong with what Osama bin Lagos said !
its serious o! what does nigeria and her problems have to do with young couples and love? pls people, lets stick to the subject and not comment off point.
P.S: nice pictures, beautiful couples. :*
Some people are super dumb. One said “go ahead and be loving, when Nigeria is going down”(paraphrasing). What has people in love and living their lives got to do with the problems of Nigeria. How deluded can some people be. So because you have no love in your life others shouldn’t. Clearly shows you can’t be loved. Please waka far and let the ones that have found love enjoy it.
awwww….so naetoc is getting married…*sadface*
see as celeb money dey make them look pimped! e no easy!
Steph and Kalu Uche are one hot couple.
The rock is big ohhhh…nicee
Hauwa and Keziah, you both are so cute….love ur style
Pls let me ask? What made @osama bin lagos or whatever and the likes get on this site in the 1st place? Don’t u have other forums where u can speak relevantly? Should good stop because there is bad? Pls! Don’t ruin this for the rest of us. And btw, how would the country even move forward with a name like urs? That being said, nice couples! And may mine be celebrated soon.
Beautiful post showing some positive news in my country, being spoilt by negative people. All talk no action! If you are tired of the problems in nigeria, stop talking here and do something about it.
Lovely couples,wish u all d best!
Issokay,God go do our own.lol.nw 2 Ab,Osama bin Lagos and Mangochic..start ur column on 1 of dem national newspapers…beta stil,start ur blog if U̶̲̥̅̊ lyk.BTW,wat hv d 3 of U̶̲̥̅̊ done 4 Nigeria???
Love ts a beautiful tin
LOL love the first pic of Hauwa & Keziah where it looks like she literally woke up and went “Babe.. I’m wearing your stuff today”
lmaooooooooooo! really Osama bin wateva???? u seriously need to park well…*rolls eyes*
I blame the moderator of the comment section who failed to do a proper job with that comment. It should never have seen the light of day.
Osama bin Wetin Call: And what are YOU doing other than pontificating? I love how we black folk love to blame everyone else for everything — it’s either slavery, colonialism, racism, military rule or corruption, but never our OWN fault or complicity. Well, I have news for all you Internet Revolutionaries, EVERY Nigerian adult (admittedly to varying degrees) is responsible for the condition that Nigeria is in — either by acts of commission or omission! Instead of boring folks with your pontification, get your behind off the Internet and actually do something that would improve things (and perhaps getting a j-o-b or giving somebody one would be a helfpful start). SMDH
the Hauwa and Keziah couple are the best looking. fresh and natural. unpretentious looking. love it!
I may not agree with everything that linda does but what is this one that everybody is reffering to her blog as the “;hate blog”
and bella naija as the “love blog”? They both have different missions abeg…………..besides the hate is from the commentators.
And to the business of the day…………Nicole and Neato C are the bestest!!!
Hauwa Mukan & Keziah Jones????Pls stop forcing people down our throats and calling them famous! Famous ko, popular ni!
i hope d marriage is not just about d physical beauty, when all d bling bling goes aways, hope virtue and value will still make it work…anyway all d best
Una get strength to argue ohhhh. Plz we I enjoy reading posts on bella naija cos they are always positive. Until this one. Let’s not kill the spirit in here.
Awesome couples..nice pics…i wish u Gods kind of marriage..not that of the Western World..someone said something abt migrating if u love ur family….in that i say…i prefer our own kind of love,…meaningful, grounded and fundamental..than cosmetic…as when compared to the rate of divorce there. Lets value and cherish what we have..so that it can alwayz be with us…. Kahluaghua!!!!
Hi, I read in your blog that Hauwa Mukan is a footwear designer. Where can we get her shoes? Thank you
Hmm…. they make me jealous but am not hating. Love is a beautiful thing. Wishimg them all the best. I want no ‘bad news’ aka breakup. Many more years together as i see the unmarried ones there walk up to the altar and as for that guy talking about Naija’s problems, i wonder why BN even bothered to publish his comment, it doesn’t correlate to say the least. It’s love we talking about here!
http://nitabrownsugah.wordpress.com
it’s so lovely, loves rules the world.
waoooooo….so lovebunch
Lmao @ some of the comments here. Lovely couples mehn.
Its all gud…..he who finds a wife, finds a gud ting n obtains favour frm d lord….i pray it lasts.
They all look gud & I wish all of them gudluck, boys & girls..
na wa o! God please give me my own rich, popular, handsome, caring, loving, God fearing, generous etc man that will love, cherish and marry me o! and we will av beautiful children dat will make us happy for ever and ever amen in Jesus name..
