One superstar who recently caught our eyes, is award winning Nollywood thespian Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde who was the epitome of perfection in a custom royal blue dress by Alali Boutique in Tanzania for a movie premiere.
When Oroma Cookey-Gam (Creative Director, Alali Boutique), was approached by the actress’ team to design a dress for her, she immediately knew it had to be fitted structured dress to show off Omotola’s stunning silhouette. Oroma said “Naturally for me, a structured dress means I have the liberty to play with patterns, textures and colors without the dress looking over the top and garish. The vision for the dress was a classic, non-conventional dress that says a lot without saying too much. A dress that would make its wearer feel confident and elegant. I chose to do the dress in one color- royal blue- and concentrated on different textures in that color that express opulence- tulle, chiffon, satin and rayon jersey”.
Omo T accessorized the custom Alali Boutique dress with drop down feather earrings and black Christian Louboutin “Alti” Pumps.

Lose the curtain abi cape, it distracts from the lovely dress. Only very few people can pull of that look. Gwyneth Paltrow and Nicole Kidman come to mind, and they are waif like women

Your opinion of only waif-like women pulling off the greek/roman look of the drape over the shoulder seems to be based on what you’ve seen from Hollywood. I beg to differ. There are frescoes showing Greek women with more curves than Omotola carrying off that style beautifully. The drape is there to Emphasize curves and flow when the individual moves. Drapes are also very evident in Sarees – and they often look better on women with curves, than those w/out.

I tire for nigerians o. If you don’t like something, automatically you must be a hater or jealous. Haba. We are mostly a nation of yes men, and yes women. We all must like someone or something because it is popular. Where is the room for individuality, and freedom of choice. Are we the same, must we all like the same thing. All this fawning, and fawning, we must praise, we must praise so we feel among. Butt licking comes to mind. lol. Personally, the dress is really nice, suits her shape well, but her posture in the 1st picture is a little awkward, considering she should be a pro at this. If you look closely too, the shoes look a little tight, and they are aqueezing her feet, making it look swollen. The “curtain” attached to the dress just took away from the beauty. O pari. I’m sure the abuse will start now, because i didnt fall over the floor, and lick omotola’s ass in this picture.

It irks me when pple comment without really having any of their facts right.. if you own a pair of loubs u will know that that’s the way his shoes are designed.. the toe box is designed to squeeze ur toes to give it cleavage hence the tight look! i tire o! the shoes are fab and she rocks it well!

Toe cleavage or not, those shoes didn’t do her feet justice. hey squeeze your feet no doubt, just the way the peep toe loubs do also, but they are not meant to give you pregnant lady feet. Love the dress but would personally rock it without the train though I understand that for an actress it adds drama to the red carpet. Omotola has really come into her own style wise. @ ginika…I think she has done a lot of updos/ Knots of late…so maybe she thought f going for a lighter feel and not an am so serious look. I like the breezy light feel and not too serious take on that dress. With an updo with that cape might make it look too hero moviesh…I love that Omotola pulls all her outings with an enviable kind of effortless confidence! Now that’s the definition of a Sexy woman!
Omotola is a beautiful woman, the shoes doesn’t take away from the fact that she’s a natural beauty. . She has a wide feet and open toe shoes look best on those type of feet. Pointy shoes or covered shoes look the best on narrow feet. It’s all about knowing what looks best on your feet.
