Thanks!! His songs are lovely! But unfortunately I think the link to the first songs isn’t active cos it didnt play back… does he have website yet?

  • muyiwa September 26, 2009 at 12:59 pm

releasing a song is not easy, but he sounds more of a rock artiste, and that cannot definitely sell in naija, thats the truth

  • Nneka September 26, 2009 at 2:06 pm

i think Heaven please would be a good song to play at a wedding..maybe at the beginning or end when guests are settling in out heading out. It’s sure a song I would def. play at my get togethers.Happy for the dude o.

nahhhh… There’s an ongoing movement in the Naija music industry and market… his music is not for those IN Naija alone but all over the world.. with the right song(s), right marketing and right ppl supporting him and pushing him along… anything is possible for this gifted youngman.
I’m happy for him…its about time!
    Gd stuff Timi…

  • Greg September 26, 2009 at 2:24 pm

As a critique, must say the second song is damn faint in terms of theme while the first is cool – links one to The Script…

  • Zinah-Mj September 26, 2009 at 3:28 pm

    This is soooo Hawwwwt!!!!!!!!
I love the flux of country and Rock infused together. Trust me in due time 9ja’s will evolve into this genre and the music scene in general will fall insync. Timi Rocked it jere!!! He definitely broke out of the norm in typical 9ja music genre and I respect that. What he requires now is our collective encouragement and the world 2 large will embrace our Nigerian music genius[es] as desired.

  • nenea September 26, 2009 at 5:02 pm

i love love the first song….good job!

  • Laba Labasa September 26, 2009 at 6:00 pm

Na true you talk. As in I’m happy that Timi is taking his time to carve out a niche for himself. He’s clearly not joining the auto-pitch, party banger band wagon. The naija enterntainment scene is crying out for something new, and Timi might just be the ish. He’s no asa, he’s Timi and that’s what matters.

the 1st song is so good…it sounds so rich and passionate!

  • Moi September 27, 2009 at 1:55 pm

Who says he wont sell? He has talent and that is way better than the 2 pence musicians that are “selling” the usual crap… There are other Nigerian musicians who are breaking out of the usual Nigerian music genres likeTy Bello or Iyke Onka and they are doing pretty well.

  • adanna September 27, 2009 at 4:57 pm

  • teris September 27, 2009 at 5:27 pm

“heaven please” not bad. but ft Jags on “i love you”….now this song’s got some layers. no’ bad ‘t’all.

  • Agnes September 27, 2009 at 5:29 pm

….hmmn..lovely you may definitely say that again… Timi is a unique, he is in a class of his own.. i really do hope that he never bends to the presure to be be like everybody.. his uniqueness was that ‘thing’ we all could connect with that made us keep voting even wen he forgot the lyrics during the idols competition… pls don’t ever lose urself in the ‘crowd’ trying to roll out numbers ‘n compromising your uniqueness.., there are not many like you… i see another in the class fo MJ emerging from no less a continent than africa..doubters pls watch out! it may be a tough walk but it will be…

  • Boondocks September 28, 2009 at 4:05 pm

Wedding??? The song is not really a wedding type song oo, it talks about some1 who has died and now that he is reaching his dreams, he is pleading with heaven for just one moment with that loved one..:P

It is not by poer neither is it by might. Timi should not be pushed. Time and chance happen to all things. Nigerians should learn this great lesson. God will put him on his throne when the time comes for him. Thank you all for encouraging him anyway. God bless Nigeria.
