BN Bytes: Genevieve Nnaji features in Luna Milk’s “Grow & Shine” TV, Print & Billboard Ad Campaign

In late 2010, Genevieve Nnaji flew to Lebanon to film the TV Commercial for Luna Milk. The Nigerian actress is the face of the new Luna Milk “Grow & Shine…Add A Smile to Life” campaign which includes TV Commercials, Print and Billboard advertisements.

In the TV commercial produced by Admark for Givanas Nigeria, a young girl watches TV and sees Genevieve on screen talking about the health benefits of Luna Milk. The young girl gazes adoringly at Genevieve and then she calls out to her mum to ask what Luna means.
Genevieve then “magically” responds to her directly sharing that Luna means “the moon” and then hands her a can of Luna Milk. She then bids the girl goodbye, calls her “little star” and tells her to “grow and shine”.
It is a cute commercial and definitely another major achievement for Genevieve Nnaji.

Watch the TV Commercial below.

that was so cheesy.. but Genevieve looks amazing

    • Ms. Sassy eyes February 17, 2011 at 4:44 pm

Yes!!! God bless you. that is the word I was searching for. Ok b4 the Universe savers come out and slice me up in bits, I think Genevieve is beautiful and played her part well. But the AD, *gag* CHEESY!!!!

      • Miss Face February 17, 2011 at 11:39 pm

I agree, it was cheesy.Yes boss! but geneveive’s performance saved the day.the girl is one classy lady and really knows how to carry herself well and has this air of confidence about her,got great taste too, speaks well without faking an america-india-british-dutch accent.Omotola should borrow a leaf from her in terms of class and carriage(She’s so unlady-like! As in eewwwww!)but my question is- why did they have to shoot the commercial in lebanon?is luna a lebanese milk?otherwise, that living room they used could pass for a typical nigerian middle-class living room.nothing special, except that genny played her role well.cheesy.**slams laptop** isshh!

      • Ready February 17, 2011 at 11:56 pm

@ Missface, I have no opinion on the other stuff you wrote, but Luna Milk is owned by a UAE company; I guess Lebanon was a compromise without having to fly ’em out to Dubai.

  • beeba February 17, 2011 at 1:44 pm

    Genny is so BEAUTIFUL, what!!

  • 2kool February 17, 2011 at 1:46 pm

@ Nigerians let us learn to appreciate our celebrities! If its so easy a status to achieve go out there and do wh Nigerians let us learn to appreciate our celebrities! If its so easy a status to achieve go out there and do what they are doing and stop throwing stones!!! Milk, mik, who cares!!!

  • 306omo February 17, 2011 at 4:15 pm

i’m sorry, i dont understand the lil girls accent !!!…. definately not a Nigerian Accent.

  • gigi February 17, 2011 at 6:17 pm

this commercial lacks creativity..i love genny and think she is beautiful, but these Nigeria advertising companies need to employ young people with vision for product commercials instead of this 1984 popping out of the tv rubbish.

  • olive February 17, 2011 at 6:22 pm

Genny, you look like a fifteen year old chap,oh how i wish i knew your secret.sweety.

    • WorthIt March 10, 2011 at 12:34 am

  • Purpleicious Babe February 17, 2011 at 6:50 pm

Her accent does not sound nigerian at all… it sounds very south african I think. I wonder if this ad was made for niaj audiences?

  • Dolly P February 18, 2011 at 9:31 am

What’s wrong with the advert in my opinion not bad. The little girl spoke in simple English, nice accent too. “Mum what those luna mean? I wanna be like you when I grow up, so I should drink luna too? Mum luna is my milk from now on, I will drink it to become a star”

  • Ifeoma-adiagwuagwu February 18, 2011 at 11:06 am

  • Marian February 22, 2011 at 3:13 am

please dont say anyting about Genevieves accent in this ad – it sounds normal – Now lord knows what we would heard in our ears had this been Stephanie Okereke – biting her tongue to rattle queens english by force lol

  • missy February 24, 2011 at 1:32 pm

the problems with some people like miss face is that they think that everyone is the same they fail to see that people are different…..omotola can’t be like genevive the same way genevive cannot be like omotola. i’m not a fan of genevive but i must say this she is beautiful!!

  • Chichi February 25, 2011 at 11:04 pm
