Reel Life presents Chika Anadu’s Short Films
You are invited to round up this month with a collection of short films from Ms. Chika Anadu. She was born in Lagos Nigeria and has made 2 short films: Epilogue (2009) screened at the San Diego Black Film Festival; and Ava (2010), screened at the Cannes Film Festival and Africa International Film Festival. Chika will on hand to chat about her work and other plans. Reel Life at The Life House screens world, classic and alternative films every Thursday.

Fally Ipupa, 2Face & J. Martins @ MTV Live event
Fally Ipupa, 2FACE and J. Martins are to headline the first edition of MTV Live, MTV’s awesome new live music night that will be taking over Africa during 2011. Over on the wheels of steel will be Naija’s finest DJs including DJ Humility, resident DJ at Lagos based Rhythm FM, Beat FM’s DJ Caise and Cool FM’s DJ Jimmy Jatt.

Terry Tha Rapman Live @ Scintilla
Terry Tha Rapman will be kicking off his Boyz Are Not Smiling club nationawide tour this weekend. Other acts scheduled to perform with the BANS leader are Knight House’s pop princess Mo’ Cheddah, grimy street rapper Cartiair and super-talent producer and artiste Ex-O. On the wheels of steel will be the Boyz Are Not Smiling official DJ, Dee Jay X-Chris. The latest version of the BANS T-shirts will be up for sale.

“Anatomy of a Woman” @ Terra
Jasonvision Ltd, Renegade Theatre and Terra Kulture present, Wole Oguntokun’s “Anatomy of a Woman”. What does an African woman really want? Money? Security? Children? Power? Love? A mix and match of all above? Renegade Theatre takes a humorous look at gender relations, the frictions and the fall-outs. Starring Eyimife Gold Ikponmwosa, Precious Anyanwu, Ijeoma Grace Agu, Kanayo Larry Okani and Austine Onuoha, the play will be performed every Sunday in April.
