I may be wrong but i strongly suspect that this contest seems to be taking a political twist…lovely contestants anyway…

You’re not wrong. I watched the show and I dont think she deserved it. the other top 10 or 15 contestants did a better job

Most pagents have a political twist. Rarely, and I do mean rarely, is a beauty queen chosen solely on her own merits… and that applies to pagents worldwide.

I was really rooting for Miss Jaimaca, she got the height, face and body shape, she spoke well too.Kudos to miss South Sudan, she got the poise ,carriage nd charisma, that wat beauty is all about.Over all it was a lovely event,I luv were they all wore green, all the contestant were pretty, omg,u go fear height na,were all the fake naija babe that think they are fine, their flat tummy is what trip me the most!

I watched the whole pageant and I have been following the contestants bofore it aired. There was alot of funny business in the results. There is no way that China should have won. Alot of people are on the Miss World Facebook page giving Julia Morley a piece of their mind. The Miss World Facebook page has yet to post anything since the pageant ended, and alot of people are heated about the results. Did I mention they haven’t posted ANYTHING. Not even a response to the accusations. Many of us thought that Miss South Sudan would take home the crown. Not to mention all the “unlike”s that the page has gotten since yesterday.

Yes it is definitely political, anytime China hosts Miss World, a Chinese Miss World emerges! I know

hmm, something fishy here…South Sudan that came into existence just last year wins for the African continent…? China wins the Miss World Competition hosted in it’s own country…? But i can only speculate since i wasn’t able to watch it on tv.

Well done to Damiete Charles-Granville- she was a quaterfinalists and apparently was not far off the list of top 15. Oh well, better luck next time! But perhaps Silverbird should consider sending her rather than Isabella Ayuk to Miss Universe 2012

It’s not a coincidence that Miss China won. China is the next,”SUPER POWER”. They already made a name for themselves. Sooner or later, mandarin or cantonese will be a more accepted language. It’s sounds like a difficult language to learn but people will still learn it. China has focused more on education, building their economy, winning olympic medals, now fashion, beauty and entertainment is their next dominance. This whole thing is about power. i’m happy for Miss South Sudan, she’s pretty.

Perhaps you should have seen the final Q&A round. South Sudan was robbed.

    August 20, 2012 at 1:02 pm

OK. SO the pageant is over and I’m all sorts of disappointed that China won. Miss South Sudan had the BEST and most sincere answer out of all the final seven but they had to make Miss China, whose answer was one of the worst (she greeted “good morning” instead of “good evening” in Mandarin) the winner. The last time China won in China, it was deserved. This time it wasn’t.

Oh, and compare the colour of Miss World 2007’s winning gown to this year’s winner’s gown. Coincidence?

To be honest, Miss China looks pretty, but only pretty, not really beautiful. And if let me choose between looking at her photos or looking at me in the mirror, i prefer to … look at my face in the mirror. lol. The other girls deserve more than Yu Wenxia for ” Miss World” Crown
