Nigerian Design Label Lanre DaSilva-Ajayi Now Retails at the Dolce & Gabbana-owned Spiga2 Concept Store in Italy

Over the last few months, the BN Style team had heard a few whispers about Nigerian designer Lanre DaSilva-Ajayi being mentored by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana of famed Italian Design House – Dolce & Gabbana.

Now, we are seeing the dividends of the reported mentorship. In February 2013, the designer’s eponymous label made its debut at the famous Spiga2 Concept store owned by Dolce & Gabbana. Pieces from LDA’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection specially tagged ‘Butterfly Kisses‘ can now be bought at the store located in Milan, Italy.

LDA is the first African designer to be selected to stock her pieces in the Spiga2 Concept store. LDA’s retail presence  in the store is as a result of the label’s participation at the June 2012 Pitti Immagine Trade Show in Florence, Italy organized by Lagos Fashion and Design Week and Style House Files, the platform responsible for curating the designers who represent the industry at the trade show.
