Huawei Devices West Africa Launches First Windows 8 Smartphone – ‘Huawei4Afrika’ | Photos from the Launch
The leading global information and communications Technology company Huawei Devices West Africa recently unveiled its latest smartphone – Huawei4Afrika to the Nigerian market at the Oriental hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event which began with a media tour experienced by newspaper and magazine representatives also included a state of the art exhibition where guests experienced all the Huawei mobile phones. Hosted by Bash, the the unveiling had in attendance representatives from Qualcomm, Microsoft, Global Wintech, telecommunications operatives like Airtel and Etisalat. The event also included a sequence of multimedia videos showcasing the work and life balance Huawei4Afrika provides consumers and other fun features; this provided the guests a first hand experience of the phone and its features.
According to the Managing Director Huawei Devices, West Africa Tony Liang; the phone is specifically created for Africa and is powered by Microsoft; making it the first Windows 8 smart phone in the world. He added that the smart phone has 470 hours of standby time, the longest of all Smartphone’s in its class. It also features a visually iconic design inspired by a tropical island and comes in an array of bold colors including blue, red, black and white.
