Oh Lupita Nyong’o! Crush on her FAB Photoshoot for New York Magazine

wpid-lupita-nyongo-erik-madigan-heck-for-new-york-magazine-6.jpg“I couldn’t have dreamed it up” – Lupita Nyong’o is living the BIG dream.

The 12 Years a Slave actress has been blazing it up ever since promotion of the movie kicked off. The movie’s director Steve McQueen chose Lupita for the role of Patsey, after 1000 actors auditioned for the role.

When she was about to graduate from Yale Drama School, her manager convinced her to send in an audition tape. Steve McQueen was blown away, his 14-year old daughter said “Wow. Who is she?”

In the New York Magazine (Click to View) interview, she speaks on her family, living in a “bubble”, meeting her heros including Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah, Kerry Washington and Cate Blanchett.

And of course, NY Magazine had to present us with a fab photoshoot. Lupita rocks Miu Miu, Giorgio Armani, Stella McCartney and Chanel. You can visit the NY Mag website to see the full set of images.

Lets tell ourselves the truth. There’s nothing to crush on here. The babe is overrated haba. This Lupita craze will sha end one day. If this make up was done on another random person’s face, she woulda been slandered to hell and back. All these shades of eye shadow have no business being on her face. Lets just pls try and be honest

      Lupita craze abi?
Why do we hate on our own so much like this, if it were another celeb now you would be making positive comments. The lady is making a rave as an african woman in hollywood, deal with it and stop trying to bring her down. And instead of hating you can put your time and effort into becoming somebody worthy of having world renowned photographers and designers wanting to be affiliated with you. And if you have no such ambition it is classier to STFU.

Oh shut up ohboy! So because someone has a divergent view the person is a hater. Must we always join the band wagon? There’s nothing insulting or hateful with what Shenugs said. Just an honest view. I’ve long noticed a pattern here on bella naija. Ppl like u here detests honest criticism. That’s why our so called celebs don’t really make it to the top internationally because we should be “proud of our own”. Utter nonsense. If u love someone, u tell them the truth. We all shouldn’t be an “o yes member” all the time.
