Design Indaba Expo 2014: David Tlale

When it comes to African fashion, the list would be incomplete without mentioning David Tlale.

The South African designer recently showcased a collection at Day 3 of the of the 2014 Design Indaba Exhibitions in Cape Town, South Africa. The exhibitions held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and had a total of 20 fashion shows within the span of 3 days (Friday 28th February – Sunday 2nd March 2014).

David wowed the crowd once again with a seemingly different style of fashion presentation. He shocked the crowd and moved away from his expected monochrome presentations and outdoor spectacles and brought a mix with African prints indoors (with an actual runway). He showcased head wraps, floral themed cut outs and metallic head pieces.

I love this collection, even though I have to admit I was looking forward to seeing his signature Mercedes Benz and outdoor displays. Check out the collection and as always drop your comments on the collection.
