Was the interviewer really saying “fix eer” ?? Wtf? LOOOL!!!

When I’m not wearing my natural hair out, I’m on braids. And braiding is not exactly cheap but I don’t spend that much only to leave them in for 2 weeks. When I am not mad. I usually leave my braids in for 2-3 months. That’s enough time for me to get a good return on my money. When these girls step out into the real world and start earning money the hard way, they will know how far. Cambodian ko, Calabar ni. It’s funny how they spend that much and still look ratchet.

Anyway sha, shout out to the girl on l0w cut.

thank you oo…i dont understand this 2weeks i’m hearing.
I carry my natural hair most of the time…not because i’m forming team natural or trying to save money or anything of that sort. I just can’t be bothered. When I do make my hair I prefer to go for styles that last minimum a month.
I admire girls who are skillful with their hair and can mix it up but for me, I really don’t have the time or energy

I think I officially lost it at “Louiz Vuitton”. 🙂
I haven’t brought myself to spend more than $100 on buying hair; still on my Purple Pack Yaki flow and always on point. Student tinz…the fear of earning their own money will soon be the beginning of wisdom lol.

Biko where did they uproot these girls from? ROTFL
“Louiz Vuitton”! I seriously cannot understand why people feel such a pressing need to don designer items and when they find they can’t afford the real McCoy, straight to get the copy for N50k! That amount can get you a very good bag in another brand, just not a copy. Ha! The hustle is real mehn!
I love the girl on low cut. Sad he didn’t feel the need to ask her more questions.

The girl with the “bohemian” hair, lol. She’s feeling herself too much, on top hair and bag matter…
She doesn’t know if its her dad or boyfriend that funds her spending… lol

The cambodian, bohemian all look synthetic .

Its just sad that girl have become so materialistic

Like Miss_Flygerian said when they start working, no be person go tell them to carry the hair for 1 month or even more..

If these girls lived abroad where making your hair costs between $100-$200 or more, they would learn to keep their hair for 2 months straight!!! And abroad, some textbooks are very expensive.

    April 14, 2014 at 10:36 am

The LV girl shouting that her fake bag was 50K as if she spent a lot of money. Its so sad! she’s just a bush girl trying to be fly by all means. She can’t even pronounce the name properly…Louizzzz!

I wonder if these girls are serious. Carrying hair for only 2 weeks??? Who does that? When you spend $100-$150 on your hair, you will keep it in for at least 7wks. buy yourself a hard brush and keep your edges in check.

They are all so materialistic. The girl with the short hair is the cutest among them.

They all sound shallow. Well I guess they have no real issues in life other than go to school, dress up, party, gossip etc.
    I hope I didn’t sound like this in school…..probably did 🙂

Having gone to a nigerian uni as well, yes its true girls generally carry their hair(weaves) for 2wks, n 3weeks is a stretch… then braids last longer usually less than 2months, its dreads I think that go d longest….and there’s NOTHING wrong with that.. if d products n labour to do the styles are available, affordable n within ur reach, why kill urself with carrying hair for months…. #unnecessary in this naija heat n humidity! I lived abroad for years, n was shocked to discover pple carried hair for more than 2months but the temperate climate helps that too, unlike in naija… I cant criticise someone’s choice of carrying hair for 5months, just cos I cant….if it works for u, enjoy- but I dont believe in carrying dodgy hair cos u spent over $100 fixing it-n yes I see this A LOT, but whatever.
IMO If u balance d expenses with some DIY routines plus cheaper alternatives, it wld pay better.

My reservation with this video is more bout how they look after spending the plenty or little…. I think its comparatively cheaper to do hair in nig (minus cost of weaves oo), so if I spend whatever amount of money on d weave n fixing….I expect to look sharp for d length of time I choose to carry d style, if thats not d case, honey u need to check other options…even d ones spending on expensive weaves n salons still looked rugged! E.g. what was dat dead brown weave doing on that girls head, cos she spent a lot of money on it….why not spend less, look better n let d hair go when its time…

The girl with d low cut-very pretty, n a few others too… but some were just unexplainable!

Thank you o. I carry my hair for 2 weeks-maximum 3 week- not because i’m forming but because its affordable and i cant stand the smell (sorry odour) of stale, sweaty hair.

  24. MOI

    April 14, 2014 at 1:51 pm

Thanks Que, here in Nigeria, because of the heat and all, one cannot leave her hair for more than 3 weeks, it starts to smell and all, even if you spend 20k on it. you need to wash and free your natural hair. I work and earn my money the right way and I can seriously say I don’t wear my weaves more than 2 weeks. when I went for a year study abroad, I made braids and realized dat I had it on for about 2 – 3 months… one of the reasons is basically to save cost and also cos I wasn’t perceiving any sweaty or bad odour.. my only reservation is also like us, why would they make hair as costly as theirs and still look horrible and local. guess they need to change hair stylist. don’t like any of the weavons

  25. aosgrl

    April 14, 2014 at 2:18 pm

The saddest part of the video for me was watching the state of women’s hair in the salon where they went to interview the owner. I admit to having bias as natural Nigerian girl with bra strap length hair. However whether you are natural or permed, good hair care is paramount.

I don’t think you are supposed to cover your entire hair with relaxer, just the new growth. and the girl in the salon looked like she had left it in for a while. Then she was blow drying the girl with the really limp hair.

With the exception of the girl with Spanish curl braids and the low cut girl, none of the hair styles looked neat or well kept. 🙁

OMG!! I peeped that too! Did you notice how she was combing that lady’s full head of hair with a rat-tail comb! I cringed! I’m not a hair stylist but I know that’s not right!

  26. Girl Bye!

    April 14, 2014 at 3:21 pm

Why are people laughing at this girl for the way she pronounced the designer of her bag??! She pronounced it right; her bag is indeed Louizz Vuitton, because Louis Vuitton doesn’t even sell simple accessories for 50K Naira let alone a whole tote bag. So please don’t laugh at her, she only told the truth and the truth is she is actually wearing Louizz Vuitton (not Louis ooo!)

    April 14, 2014 at 5:05 pm

all these comments about keeping hair for 2-3 months because of money..jeez..that’s why a lot of people lose their hair and the hair stinks like shit! hair is a woman’s beauty, so u should keep money for it, and don’t walk around with ratchet, stinky and rough hair. why keep a weave for more than 1month? or braids for up to 3 months. i don’t care if you’re abroad or in this nigerian heat, keeping hair for that long is disgusting. instead of keeping extensions for that long, you better carry your own hair and spend money on shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser and a good relaxer.

    • Miss_Flygerian

      April 14, 2014 at 10:29 pm

And you really think while the braids are in for that long, we don’t shampoo and condition it? Girl please.

I…cannot…even. Shet. With the exception of the first girl wearing braids and the cute girl with the low cut hairstyle, all these women came across RAZZ!! Every two weeks?#tractionalopecia? Biko, I ain’t got time to sit down to do my hair every two weeks! When there’s an education to be had?!! #gradschoolstrugglebus… Brazilian doesn’t make you beautiful, neither do “designer” duds. Work within your budget. Learn about your hair in its natural state or how to maintain it in its permed state. Be academically ambitious. Get creative. And for crying out loud, leave this ratchness behind!!

    • Que

      April 15, 2014 at 4:31 pm

Yeah yeah yeah- educationist… n u still sound ratchet! They all come across as razz /ratchet indeed- frm a few clips… stick to d hair issue jare!

  35. CEO

    April 15, 2014 at 9:03 am

Its not about how much you spend on your hair, for those of you saying its disgusting to keep your hairstyle for more than 2weeks. Heat or no heat! 2 weeks after a new hairstyle is just when your brain and scalp is resting from all the pulling and wear and tear.

No wonder girls be bald in Nigeria. people’s hair so thin even young people, all rocking Mama Iyabo. Nobody has front hair any more. I would understand if hair stylists in Nigeria go tender on your hair and scalp but NO they don’t, so every 2 weeks you change your hair style and go through the extensive pulling and rough handling.

    Hmmm….#naomicampbell.com

Smh….Soo much forming and what not with all these ‘Bohemian, Cambodian hair etc.etc… yet most of you looking very very unkempt n sooo ratchet! Ugh! The girl with the low cut looked nice and is pretty. Also the last girl wearing the white turtle neck sleeveless top is pretty too.

all these guys should stop feeling self righteous jhoor. na God give us the hair to look beautiful and besides all those expensive weaves can be reused if they are taken care of properly so i dont blame the girls. and those on low cut are they trying to follow the new trend or trying to do what makes them comfortable??also virgin hair can be uncomfortable oo i tried it for 3yrs and i know wah i went through so biko leave those girls. theyre just trying to be comfortable and since they have the means let them be!
