BN Beauty: Pout Perfect! Get 2 Fabulous Lips for Fall with BeautybyJJ

Beauty By JJ Makeup Tutorial - Bellanaija - September 20140012

As the ember-months have started it is only natural that a few things change. You start to wear warmer clothes, you opt for darker colours and of course your makeup switches from bright and summery to deep and dark.

Today we are going to be getting the perfect pout with popular Nigerian/British Youtube Beauty Blogger, Jenny Jenkins of Beauty by JJ. We love her tutorials here at BN Beauty and anytime we get to learn a few makeup tips and tricks from her, we grab the chance.

She will be showing us 2 fabulous lip colours perfect for Autumn/Fall/Winter/Harmattan (pick whichever applies to you. lol) and of course how to get the perfect pout. And yes, highlighting is involved.

1. Deep Purple – She lined her lips with the Smashbox ‘Always Sharp’ Lip Liner in “Crimson” and filled it in with the Smashbox Longwear Lip Lacquer in “Bordeaux“.

2. The 2-D Effect – This is perfect for ladies with smaller lips. The 2-D effect gives your lips some volume making them appear bigger and fuller.

She used the Smashbox ‘Always Sharp’ Lip Liner in the shades “Violet” (outer lip) & “Fuchsia” (Inner Lip) and filled her lips with the Smashbox Longwear Lip Lacquer in the shades “Beat It” (Outer) & “Knock Out” (Inner).

Please what is Fall? The last i checked we had only rainy and harmattan seasons and I don’t recall any Western country ever using our own weather seasons as a reference point. If we are truly proud to be Nigerian then lets do it, not just lip it. It’s a crying shame

the jj babe isn’t based in Nigeria, she’s Uk based ,so its only normal for her to use terms familiar to her.

    For fall in Nigeria?
    Next they will rename
    Harmattan season “Winter”
And Rainy season “Summer or Fall”
And everyday annual rainfall in Nigeria, “Hurricane” lol

BellaNaija is an international platform for all things Nigerian and African and as such their content rightfully reflects that. So this video is appropriate because not everyone lives in Nigeria.

I guess the whole west AFRICA! should embrace what God gave us Harmattan and Rainy season if we like we can add sunny/summer, @F if it is an international platform we also have to push what we have here, if we keep hiding and covering everything nobody will know Jack about us especially what foreigners should do or wear when they come to Africa n what to expect.. its aba that time

I really love the colours! Deep and darker which are great for when the weather is slightly colder. Naija or UK 🙂
