Nigeria’s Super Eagles Remain 42nd on FIFA World Ranking & 9th in Africa

In the latest FIFA world ranking released on Thursday, Nigeria’s Super Eagles remain 42nd on the list – the same ranking they had in the October list.

However, the team is now ranked 9th in Africa despite failing to qualify for the 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Goal reports.

Algeria remains in the number one position in Africa’s ranking, and Tunisia is second.

Africa’s top 10 in November’s FIFA rankings (world rankings are in brackets)

1. Algeria (18)

2. Tunisia (22)

3. Ivory Coast (24)

4. Senegal (35)

5. Ghana (37)

6. Guinea (38)

7. Cape Verde (39)

8. Cameroon (41)

8. Senegal (41)

9. Nigeria (42)

10. Mali (49)

Germany, Argentina and Colombia hold the first, second, and third spots in the world respectively. Brazil remains number 6.

    Not that bad, but just that they failed to qualify for ANC , we expect them to improve
