Okay, so this might be the weirdest thing we’ve come across today! If you thought hairy legs and dyed eyebrows were weird, then you are in for a surprise.
Check out the dyed armpit hair trend.
I know what you’re thinking, it’s a bit weird when ladies don’t shave their pits, not to think of dying the pit hair – but its an actual thing.
It all started with a Seattle-based hair stylist, Roxie Hunt who always wanted to try dying someone’s armpit hair. When her colleague let her dye hers, Roxie later blogged about the subject “How to dye your armpit hair” and since then has been seen by over 30,000 people.
On the experiment, Roxie wrote “We laughed and marveled at the beauty of her blue pit hair. It was too good to be true. The color in her pits perfectly matched the color on her head. I felt a major win for body hair“.
Roxie isn’t the only one who has tried the hair trend, Youtuber Destiny M also tried the colourful trend and posted her result online with about 75,000 views.
Destiny commented on why she decided to dye her pits saying she was inspire to do it after seeing a woman who had dyed her pubic hair pink. She goes on to explain that the decision to not only grow your armpit hair but dye it is represents the freedom to make your own decisions, which is pretty empowering.
If you enter the search hashtag #PitHair or #NoShaveNoShade on Tumblr or Instagram, you will find hundreds of women who have decided to try and maintain the trend.
We aren’t exactly sure we would be willing to try the trend, but be sure to let us know if this is something you see yourself growing into (get it? 🙂 )
