National Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Muazu, has resigned. Deputy National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, has taken over the position.

According to Vanguard, Muazu resigned “following pressure from party leaders, stakeholders and supporters of the party.”

The report further states:

In a letter he wrote to the Deputy National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, Muazu, noted that due to the abysmal performance of the party during the March 28 Presidential election, it became imperative for him to go and for peace to reign in the PDP.

In the letter, he asked Secondus to step in as acting National Chairman in line with the party’s constitution.

As at the time of this report, the leadership of the party is holding a National Working Committee, NWC meeting on the former chairman’s resignation.

Uche Secondus! I love his surname!! You should hear how some people place emphasis on the pronunciation. Odili’s, Man Friday/hatchet man.

Shouldn’t he be resigning too? All of them should.

The job is done sir. You can take your bow to the acclaim of your other audience. However, know that our past deeds speak, even with new friends i.e comrades in hatchet jobs.

I wonder if PDP realize that they lost the elections long before it started. Do they??!!
PDP lost because of the abysmal state of Nigeria, Nigerians were fed up with their present state and wanted a change to 16years of bad governance unde PDP .. So whether they ran a good campaign or not it was already destined that they fail.
And you see these guys Asari Dokubo, Gov. Fayose, FFK and Patience Dame. Reuben Abati follow too(whenever Reuben puts up a twitter contest Buhari always get higher retweets or favs. The signs were boldly written on the wall that majority of Nigeria needed Buhari) they added more pepper to the injury with their malicious campaigns, they cost PDP like 3million votes and it amuses me that Fayose and FFK blame Muazu for their defeat.
So in my opinion the figure head resigning doesn’t bring an end to their crisis. He sha blames himself for not cautioning Mama Peace and co. And making sure GEJ delivered good governance.

Africans and their views on women.
When GEJ won elections, Mama Peace didn’t get any credit. Now that he lost, Mama Peace is the reason.
Will you all leave Mama Peace alone.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Seat tight syndrome – the African curse. In saner climes, political party leaders resign/resigned due to the abysmal performance of their party. Muazu did not have to wait to be pressured. It is the honorable thing to do – nine weeks too late. Where was Muazu during the Elections? Muazu was a mole.. PDP took too much for granted and Muazu ought to have resigned than swing both ways like he did. As party chairman, he slept while his house burnt. With the implosion of the party, and by the time all the rotten eggs leave, the few good ones can pool together conduct a proper after action review restructure, re strategize and attract young brilliant minds to become a formidable opposition. Same for the APC. Imposition of sons, daughters, wives and god children must stop.
