New Video: Korede Bello – Godwin

Korede Bello
Undoubtedly one of the biggest hits this year, Godwin‘s video is finally out!

Mavin Records’ Korede Bello‘s inspirational track has a video that matches with the theme.

Musical mentor, Mavin boss and the song’s producer Don Jazzy is also on the record, and is dancing away in the video.

Bovi plays a pastor in it too, AY, Dr SID and Yaw also make cameos. The video was produced by Adasa Cookey for Squareball Media.

Was it worth the wait? You tell us in the comments!

Wow… This is what life has become. A human being cannot make a genuine comment or give his/her opinion on something without being insulted. This is exactly what happens when parents buy phones for kids in primary school. Anonymity endows retards like you with apparent strength. Grow up kid.

In a country that is has the highest black population, i have to say we do not have much talent. The upcoming ones dont even have anything different to what beyonce and rhinna were singing at 16 years old.these ones way past that and still singing junk.

    June 3, 2015 at 10:22 pm

Picture quality is on point, I like the fact that I don’t get to see half nude babes shaking booty like what I’m used to seeing on most of our music videos… I like the whole scenarios captured and korede you’re cute but pls stop winking all the time.. Kilode ke? She ata wo inu oju e no?

    June 3, 2015 at 11:02 pm

wheew, nice song but this video just lack creative direction. ughhhh, I really had a great story board for this video….sigh
Choroegraphy – the dance did not sync with the song. like they had a different song they were dancing to.
Godwin – but it felt like a face moisturizer or hair commercial. choi!! would have preferred seeing the story of an everyday man/woman, children, family, etc demonstrating the Godwin in their life. afterall this song is not catered to the 1% of Naija. just beauty shots & 2 people dancing. the product placements In naija videos are just to blatant. tufia

Bovi – did we really need to see ur for 42seconds??? SMH!! na bye force to add skit for naija video????

Nice video bt not wat I expcted from the video, so over tush and d drama’s whr little. Let’s try 2 use d community smetimes. GodWin is nice song and shld go wit d concept of looku looku video in different style, everybody praising God. Dats was d same thn dat happened 2 sekewu video. D dance step whr nt really shown in d 2 videos bt d 1st video on the street.

    June 4, 2015 at 1:41 am

Just there nothing special for such an awesome song. That Bovi’s skit is so not needed, wasn’t even funny. And pint sized Korede dancing beside Don Jazzy massive bulk is so weird. 4 over 10

To all the negative comments (mostly the nonconstructive ones) i say “unu shattap” , Nigerians can form hard to please for no reason…chineke…let the boy shine kwanu… let the young lad be; but na Godwin after una tlk finish…The song is sha dedicated to u bad belle pple, like he said “Make una try ur luck” in the industry make we see how far u wld go..rabbish..Give the kid a break

    June 4, 2015 at 8:40 am

@Marie is right, the dance moves were off the beat at some point and please don jazzy needs to stop featuring in ALL their songs. I know Korede is growing but look at Dr Sid and tell me a song Don Jazzy didn’t feature. The ‘Boss’ should step aside sometimes.

I hate to agree with you on our talentlessness… But I just drove 9hours with colleagues so we decided to share our music with each other. By the time the American shared some underground artists and the Egyptian and Iranian shared a couple of songs, with all of these artists belting it out (fast or slow paced) I jejely had to cop out and say I don’t have any music on my phone….
In retrospect most of the music we celebrate especially those from new artists is waayyy below par by international standards….and that’s expected from the deathly combo of terrible vocal abilities and loud noises. The only guy that crossed my mind to share was Burna Boy and well, now that I think about it, I for just jam one Asa song for them…anyways it still follows my point, on the average, e be like say we no get vocal talent for naija, even our choirs can compare to all these Akata choirs. The only guys I respect vocally are the fuji/apala artists who perform life…goes to say we should just stick with our traditional music?

Hello CB, Kindly Google Timi Dakolo (iyawo mii or any other), Wizkid (yes the same), but his earlier songs, Waje (not coco baby sha) , 2face(African Queen) etc. Nigerian Artistes might be a lot of things, but talentless is not one of them. I don’t believe that. Theres the bandwagon effect where everyone wants to sing club hits, but take out time to listen to them sing other songs. We have guys that can even stand up to the Emeli Sandes (Not Beyonce o)

    • Ada

      June 4, 2015 at 12:08 pm

I can love this comment like 1 million times on my own! The guy no sabi Timi? And im dey find standard artistes? Who else standard?

      June 4, 2015 at 11:10 pm

I don’t know if you have heard of Brymo. He is really good. He’s like the male version of Asa. Listen to Good Morning, Eko, Dear Child, Fe Mi….. Inf act listen to all his albums

    June 4, 2015 at 9:34 am

Fell in love with the song again.
Koredo cutey cute. That ur dance is one kind sha. I just want to carry Koredo around in my purse like a poodle. He is so cute.

  35. been there

    June 4, 2015 at 9:54 am

Korede bello is all shades of cute.

@Californiabawlar: its no ones fault you are ashamed of nigerian music. ur excuse is baseless.
i have also been asked by foreign colleagues (american, czech, indian, europeans) to play Nigerian music, and they just loved it. so get off ur high horse

    • Californiabawlar

      June 4, 2015 at 10:34 am

Lol, so, how about we meet halfway, I get off my high horse and you raise your standards…good? Lols.

My dear, how am i arrogant if I basically conclude that Wizkid would be floored in a competition with an upcoming Fuji artist who still sings at bus stops? Abeg if you would tell yourself the truth we no dey try…yeah, foreigners bump to whatever it is you guys call aftrobeats these days, but my apologies if My first foot forward introducing folks to my country’s music wasn’t going to be Dorobucci. The speakers were way too clear for me to sit awkwardly through all the autotune.

But then again I don’t expect anyone to agree with me because afterall 48% iof Nigerians genuinely believed GEJ was an efficient ‘leader’….mediocrity is the butter on our bread.

    • DeAyo

      June 4, 2015 at 11:15 am

Hey Calibawlar…. you are very much wrong as it would seem you were exposed to more junk music than good music….someone mentioned Tuface(African Queen) or even his former group (Plantashun boiz), Eedris Abdulkareem nko? or even Asa (even though u mentioned it earlier which came as an afterthought) or even Omawumi, etc…the list goes on…. I dont like commenting on this entertainment ish coz of its much vanity being presented these days (which applies to all songs,`worldwide or local) but for your comments, feeling ashamed of your own people kind of music, i decided to comment…

Don Jazzy is a great guy who mentors these youths and supports them with good production… did u hear the way he parted Korede in d song and u call that Autotune?? u dont know DJ well… he is very versatile in different music genres. So Calibola, dont spew ignorantly… actually u re entitled to your opinion as i am to mine…no offense 🙂

I don’t know so much about video production and all,but isn’t it clear when a dance is been shown on slow-motion??????(for those saying they are dancing to a different song) – its a post-production thing, that’s why most foreign movies take about 2 years to release because of post-production and when they do stunts u’ld be clapping in the cinemas.SMH

Why do u guys just like to be very nollywood about a 4mins video music?Haven’t u seen foreign movies that were shot in not more than one scene?(phone booth for example – i stand corrected dou),yet u want them to show u a Nollywood movie for everything he tried describing as victories for different situations????Haba my people, haba!

See as they made me write epistle, when Im not SMD’s publicist abi what do they call those pple.#cleanssweat

Its a lovely song even without the video, shikena!!!!!

Nor bring Nollywood enter this place, abeg!

My God go win, My Lord go win o. #TeamWinning #SavedByHisGrace #ProductOfGrace #GrowingInGrace
    Look at Korede’s bright eyes
I can hear the local tune in the background towards the end. Love it!
