Farewell! Jega Leaves INEC | Ahmed Wali is Interim Chairman



Attahiru Jega‘s tenure as INEC Chairman has come to an end.

His departure was formalized on Tuesday during a handover ceremony conducted behind closed doors at the Commission in Abuja, according to Sahara Reporters.

A national commissioner from Sokoto State, Ahmed Wali will be taking over as interim chairman.

    Congrats Oga Jega, but the acting INEC interim chairman is a lady appointed by Buhari. Obviously the president has his own candidate that was why Ahmed Wali who Jega handed over to was immediately removed and replaced by Amina.
