At the end of the day it’s best to be with a partner that adds value to our lives, financially, emotionally, spiritually, socially, mentally and physically. Love isn’t overrated is in us to decide how much care we choose to show to out most treasured priority. Very interesting, please do you and your kind will come your way.

After years of pleasing human beings, I have finally decided to please just one personality and that is God and I am so loving it. Too many people to please stresses me out. Their views are too unstable. Today they like you, tomorrow they just don’t feel it for you but pleasing God honestly makes me so joyful, besides the reward is so amazing. How much reward do I get from pleasing men over God. The Bible says that when a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, in order words, God takes care of my matters while I please Him and to me that is so yummy. I can’t tear myself apart pleasing everybody since one man’s meat is another man’s poison and men see life differently depending on their experiences and exposure. Why should I then subject myself to that. It is the whole duty of man to please God and obey His commandments and this is what worked for Daniel in the Lion’s den, even when the movers and shakers of the society in his generation came against him. Those guys were the big guys in his generation but he pleased God, he was so intelligent, full of wisdom and at the peak of his profession. Therefore, pleasing God pays. It means I can be joyful and be great and if anyone comes against me He will fight for me.

What does God my maker really want? I am serious o. Since all power belong to him including watching me while I sleep. The scariest part of my life is sleeping because I have no control anymore till I awake, since I am so much concerned about sleeping at night, I’ll rather focus on what God wants(he neither sleeps nor slumber), everyone sleeps at a point. Morning, afternoon or night, no one has been given the power to stay awake all through life. Even the most troublesome madmen on the streets sleep off. I am pleasing God all the way. Pleasing God above all will reflect most by the end of age. Then we will know the difference between priorities and preferences. It might be too late for some.

Men are contradicting. They will forever go on about fake girls who wear fake everything. But these fake girls are trying to impress these same men too bcos they noticed that men also like girls like that. So, if we are to address fake girls, what about we address fake men who are confusing and leading these girls on. After they’ve had their share of these “fake girls”, all of a sudden they want to be talking deep. Men have created a monster society and won’t own up but want to shift the blame and run away.

If a simple girl walks by or post a pic on social media, she won’t get noticed maybe only by certain men who she’s most likely not interested in. A handsome guy like lynxx will notice the girl wearing weave, heavy makeup and tight dress showing her curves. The “sexy” babe. He might notice the other simple girl but won’t show it. Guess what, the simple girl feels left out.

This was good. As in, really interesting. But I think when a woman is spending her own money, aside the going out in group bla bla bla. I think she doesn’t advertise it (posting on ig, Facebook and the rest), that’s what I’ll do. I mean you’ll see my money when you see me but not on social media. Na empty drums dey sound loudest oh #justsaying

Taaaaaaa!!!!! You can wear your hair natural, tone down the make up and work for Shell. The guy that has it in mind to cheat, will still cheat, and that is a fact. He will turn around and say you are boring and you don’t dress sexy.

You give him peace and he will still turn around and steal your own peace. Women! Drag you ear, do you o. Don’t try and figure men out. Live your life and enjoy yourself. If you try and understand men, you are in for major heartache.

    • get real!!!

      September 8, 2015 at 5:28 pm

the way aunty nahum turned this conversation in the cheating direction…NA WA OOO…look ladies we need to accept our faults…its not as if we need validation from men but all these fakeness(body shapers…excessive make up e.t.c) should stop…look if my bf did all dose fake abs nonsense…i would not tolerate him for a week!!!!

Saw a new side to lynxx, Always changed channels whenever the guy was mentioned or his face came up, but Ndani real talk helped show him in quite a positive light. I am now a fan. ill try to listen to one of your songs lynxx,

Kudos Cornelia, they tried to push you aside but you held your own and still spoke up for the ladies. When i saw they 4 guys with strong personalities, i thought they will be too much for you to manage but your presence was still felt.

Officially my favourite episode yet! Had several laughs…the guest combo was perfect!
Anyone that listend to IK on radio shld has heard how he n his wife started so no worries bout airing her biz…

Only correction to Lynx….my dear, d sugar daddies/’caregivers’ are no longer 60-70 yrs….. some are your age nwanna! I also had to rethink this ‘sugar daddy culture and age thing when I found out a chic I used to look at with small respect- as per my older cousin’s friend- was the runs for a guy who turned out to be my secondary school mate, and she was at least 3yrs older than him, she was into her 30s, when we were 28….. if he wasn’t abusive on top, I might have tried to make sense of it, but she was happy to be in monaco today, paris tomorrow…so i guess for her, d abuse was alright… of course she stays ‘slaying’ and ‘fleeking’ on instagram. #envyatyourownrisk!

    September 8, 2015 at 2:38 pm

cant argue with some things they said but please its myopic to assume that a woman travelling alone in business/first class was sponsored by a caregiver. I went on holiday last year by myself and spoiled myself thoroughly. I work a 14-hour corporate day on the average, and I work weekends too so I needed the break and once I got one I took it. You don’t take your possessions with you when you journey to the great beyond, so please men should stop assuming that women have a problem with spending their own money. Truth be told, I’m freer spending my own cash than another person’s.

Thank you Nonye for your deep reasoning! I have come to realise that Nigerian Men have very low IQ level,no matter how exposed! I was miffed when Lynxx said girls that travel alone are being sponsored! After a hard work this Summer I was looking to go Seychelles for five days to spoil myself and stay in a nice place to have my me time to meditate with my Father in Heaven! Especially for corporate ladies like myself ,I need a man who can think deeply and stimulate high level reasoning, not this set of low intelligent men who are so silly to come to say what men want! I do not give a damn about what anyman wants! But what I care about mostly is to fulfil my purpose in life! I am overly tired about all their topics in about what Nigerian men want! Everything is tied around men! Please women go get a life and understand that you are fearfully and wonderfully made first to fulfil God’s purpose for your life, not what a man wants!

    • LOl

      September 9, 2015 at 11:11 am

so i ask you, when you travel and spoil yourself…. do you take picture of every thing along the way for the gram and FB? the food, hotel room, the bag you took? the dress, hash tag the designers just in case it is missed? If you do, the number of single independent ladies that does that must be very few. Those in the majority of ‘on Fleeking’ everything for the gram are the runs babe. Best believe it dear. And that is what Lynks was trying to say. And darling, low IQ and exposure are two different things. You might be exposed, but have low IQ and vis versa. So makes me wonder which you fall under? Since you said Nigerian men have low IQ? The Pat Utomi’s, Sanusi’s, Professors but to mention a few who are Nigerians also have low IQ in your definition.

    • Ngozi

      September 9, 2015 at 7:50 pm

My dear fulfilling God’s destiny is paramount and this is why Nigerian women do not have to marry Nigerian men. God made all races. If a man from another race is the will of God for you, please don’t focus on Niger men or your tribe. Just go with God jeje, His choice will pay you o

      September 9, 2015 at 3:24 am

I agree with you that there are plenty of ladies who are able to take care of themselves and treat themselves w/o additional support from “sponsors” because they are hard working career women. But on the show they were not talking about those women, they are talking in large to those ladies, we know who they are, who fly to the most exotics place in first class with the most expensive handbags & shoes but have no career or job that can financially back up such a lifestyle.

So average looking girls with no plenty “serenre” are receptionists?! I think that’s a shallow thing to say, I agree, a lot of babes are fake and live very fake lives but the fact that some of them are simple and do not wear and showcase crazily expensive stuffs doesn’t make them receptionists! I work in a multinational, i dare say and earn really well, far above most of my peers, my dressing is still very simple, same goes for hairdos, I believe in investing, as wise as you think you sound. You definitely cannot tell all about a person from pics.

the most informative episode so far. Also, Lynxx, i am indeed impressed… your parent did well!! it shows that some men are just observing women no wonder all these men after enjoying their single lives the end up marrying a women that no ones knows. i remember when my uncle brought one lady for introduction we were like “please who is this” cause we all taught he was going to marry all these women that are out there now etc…. my uncle said a lot of stuff that in deed made sense!!! theres no need for women to code their hustle oh cause if lynxx can tell who is who then im sure many guys can also tell. also, my friend who is dating a politician, guys know oh!! men can tell which babe is legit or not!!! lmao

Cornelia is pretty for days…and her hubby is wasting time somewhere.
This episode was sooo on fleek, lol. I personally don’t think TeeA is funny but this unintended funny line” fleeekkinngg…….its not in your family to fleek” got me rolling on the floor.
Men what do they really want?
I believe being yourself is important as a man/woman and adjusting to whoever you are with will make life easier (if you can).
I believe what a man want changes just like it does for women.
Some men when they see what they want, they don’t realize it only when its gone.
Bottom line, I think discussing one’s expectations is necessary so you know if you can meet them consciously or unconsciously.

I find it interesting how all these guys talk about not wanting girls with weaves and make up on fleek but they ignore the natural beauty and brains that walk right in front of them everyday. I’m an intelligent, strong, beautiful, 5.5, size zero young woman in my mid 20s, currently working two jobs, putting myself through school and going full time, got my own place and my own my own car. Everything I have, I worked hard for. But hey, I don’t have guys coming up to me to tell me how beautiful I look with my short natural hair cut. I don’t do too much make up so my eyebrows might not always be on “fleek” but I’m a woman of virtue, I’m not planning on changing myself to get any man’s attention but guys need to stop talking about not wanting the “make up and weave” girls but at the same time not pay attention to the ones that are truly natural.
If I didn’t learn anything from my mom, I learned that work is what we do to avoid poverty (ise la n se ka to ma sise). Everyday I wake and tell myself that. When my bosses are killing at work and school get toughs, I tell myself it will be worth it. I look at peoples pictures on social media but I’ve never prayed to be like them. I pray one day that my hardwork pays off and they, their children, families, and friends want to be like me.

    September 8, 2015 at 3:55 pm

What a man wants? I am a woman and from my observation i think it is women that do not know what they want. Women think with their hearts, and the hearts desires can change any second. Men think with their heads. They know exactly what they want. If we think with our heads as women, men will have a hard time messing with us.

At the end of the day, these sugar daddies that send these girls abroad and give them all that money for the wigs and bags are what????? MEN!!!! So when we ask what do men want? let’s not deceive ourselves. These sugar daddies have wives at home who have natural hair, wear little make up, raise good children and they still go after the girls with the weaves, padded bras etc. if you ask me what men want I will say that men want to eat their cake and have it. They want fantasy, they don’t want reality. They want mother Theresa, a porn star, a Betty Crocker, business tycoon, woman who will bear ten children and the body remains like it was ore-birth and a maid all wrapped in one woman. They want to mess around with every girl and call them hoes and then hypocritically look for a good girl to settle with. May God lead us to the few good men out there. I really enjoyed the conversation though. Cornelia did a great job and the guys kept it interesting.

Really enjoyed the talk, I have great respect for the men who participated on the show cos they voiced out on the things happening in our society even though they encourage it. So many homes have been broken because of these girls on “fleek”. So many kids been abandoned by their dads cos, their fathers focus more on their girlfriends and not their family. The presenter is a strong representation of a real woman.

What was said and what was left unsaid. I think I heard everything. I was shocked at first when one of the men said women dress for other women. I had always thought every woman dressed with a man or men in mind. I realised that what he said is true.

No man really cares about the weave, unless he wears one himself or aspires to wear one. I have found that many men favour the natural look, not au naturel o; that could mean anything – no deodorant, no toothpaste, no pomade…I could go on.

A woman who is confident enough to walk in the rain without running for cover for fear of discovering which animal the weave came from or one who jumps in the shower and steps out smelling fresh from head to toe instead of from neck to toe. Or maybe one he can ‘actually’ run his hands through her hair.

I don’t know o, I am just thinking out loud. What do I know sef? But my question is – if men say they do not like weaves, why do we still spent precious money on them? If it’s the case that we dress for ourselves and to hell with everyone else, then why should it matter what these men say or think, abi? That one point really got me. I am renewing my mind mbok.

To be completely honest, none of them really answered the question (especially Gideon). I was expecting each of them to give a straight answer on what they want in a woman. Just cracking jokes and taking names on top our head. Cornelia you sef dey look…

      September 9, 2015 at 10:30 am

I agree with you bolaji. None answered the question and diverted the conversation. I think it was in the selection. It was a wrong combination of four very strong personalities that Cornelia could not tame.
Next time, at most just two of their type might be okay. At the end of the day it turned into a superficial vs non superficial girls gist without them telling us if they want the glamour or the simple

Nothing wrong in wanting the good things of life. I love the good things of life and I will work, save and plan to get them. It is so unfortunate that some females continue to demand from men things they cannot afford by themselves. If you want it..nne work for it.
All of you saying I want natural girls, if a lady walked into that same restaurant with natural hair-minimal make-up-very simple and decent looking clothes (looking presentable) versus one with accentuated waist due to almighty waist trainers-padded bra-weaves-nicely done full face make up with lashes to complement-big behind probably due to butt pads, which one will you pick my fellow Nigerian men? Half of the men saying I want natural women will pick lady number 2 even if lady number 1 is equally pretty. A good number of Nigerian men set unrealistic goals for women and complain when they turn out looking “fleeky”. Please take a seat.
Ladies stay true to yourself and work for your own money. A man is not a bank account.

“It’s not in your family to fleek!!” I really laughed out loud watching this episode. Loved it!

I think there’s no generic answer to what men want. I know a guy that likes a woman with weaves, eyebrows on fleek, call it ‘fake gbo gbo e’, he likes her like that. The kind of woman that would make male heads turn when she takes a step in her heels.
Meanwhile, I know another guy that likes his woman natural, as natural as no make up, no weave, infact no jewelry. To him, thats’ s a true beauty.
So changing for a man would leave you shortchanged. Women should just pray to God to give them a man that would accept you as you are and even make you better.
E.g, I have 0.00% fashion sense and I don’t see myself as a head turner, today I was still feeling bad for eating too much rice (carbs ‘fat shaming’ me as I ate) BUT I have a man who appreciates me, helps with my fashion and encourages me to launch an attack against the carbs.

people say no more. This stands the best episode so far, and as for the ladies crying fowl, let your own mind judge cos the guys were simply talking about some attributes of women who are jobless and still live a very high standard of lifestyle and for the women who are legit, we know you, love you and respect you. I.K, Gideon, Tee-A, and Lnykxx, you guys spoke well.

You’ve done well by sending this to Bellanaija. If you could get a few more details about the incident and start something like an online petition, I’m sure that people will support you. Hopefully, that will get the right people to act. You can start one petition for releasing the boys and another for scrapping NYSC.

All these talk about how women need to understand men, stop wearing wigs,…blah, blah, blah…(ROLLS EYES) is starting to give me a headache. Nice quote but sometimes men forget that the passenger sitting beside you is also going on a journey. What about understanding your wife….
    1. Working wives also have stressful days at work but they don’t get to say “i just want peace and quite…they still have to cook, clean and entertain the children. They also invented cell phones for a reason. If you know sey you dey have bad day at work….abeg text/call me so i know before you enter house.
    2. Women do not expect you to solve all their problems….sometimes just listening goes a long way.
    3. Most men have a tendency to bottle up their emotions, women work through their emotions by communicating it out loud. Once again listening ear… and understanding.
    4. Al ot of guys are the reasons why women have complexes about their natural hair. I am by no means excusing overdue wigs and not washing your hair on a regular basis but black women have come a long way. For a long time there wasn’t much information on proper care for black hair. We’ve been using relaxers that damage hair for so long and unfortunately some of us are paying the price. But please now we know better….hopefully with the natural hair movement there is information on how to manage and grow our natural hair. AND JUST BECAUSE A GIRL HAS WEAVE ON DOESN”T MEAN THAT SHE DOESN{“T HAVE GOOD HAIR UNDERNEAT. In defense of the men….women please wash your hair on a regular basis….BIKO HABA! A healthy scalp is needed for good hair growth.
