Yesterday the 1st of October, the House on the Rock church in collaboration with the US Consulate General, hosted to the delight of everyone, the much anticipated premiere of Hollywood movie, Captive at The Rock Cathedral, Lagos.

The premiere, which coincided with the celebrations of Nigeria’s 55th Independence Day anniversary, was aimed at further promoting peace, nation building and the development of minds and purpose towards achieving a purpose driven nation.

We must begin to build to a nation on purpose to secure the future for unborn Nigerians” – Pastor Paul Adefarasin.

We are partnering to send a strong message that will change people’s lives. We are partnering on a theme to look at a purpose driven life. The movie shows how the struggle between hope and despair plays out” – Dehab Ghebreab.

Hollywood is an important messaging platform and the church wants to get in that messaging platform in Nigeria. That’s why we chose to premiere this movie with an a-List Nigerian actor and we hope to challenge Nollywood actors to send a strong message through their acting” – Pastor Paul Adefarasin.

The highest office of the land is not the office of the presidency, senate or judiciary but the office of the citizenry“- Dr. Oby Ezekwesili.

Shuoooo a movie premier without d stars to promote it, why is david oyelowo not there? OR is he now too much of a mega star to promote his own movie? I really would av preferred a nollywooder for dt role cos dt david guy is just there, he is not that cute and his physique is not sexy. He is just a lucky over-hyped black actor in Hollywood. On a brighter note , kudos to House of the rock for the big project, I pray I love the movie as much as I love the church itself…

Aunty Oby the talking drum of Nigeria, no more bring back our girls again?. See how u lost your place amongs the prestigious women hall of fame cos you were trying to spite Jonathan. People no longer compare you with Okonjo Iweala and the late Dora Akunyili, now you have been reduced to dino-melaye, fani kayode and el rufai’s level. Mtchewwwwww…..
