charlesOk, so we love the fact that this is not your typical entrepreneurship competition! Read on…

They say, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step“. My name is Charles Okpaleke, and I’m here to inspire a young entrepreneur by providing him/her means to take that ‘first step’ in starting and growing a successful business.

By God’s grace, I’m an entrepreneur today. I am one of the directors of Play Entertainment Network and its subsidiaries.

I am aware that raising start-up funds is one of the most challenging aspects of starting a new business. I am here to strengthen your motivation and desire to succeed by offering 1,000,000 naira business grant to a young entrepreneur with the best business idea. All you need to do is pitch it to a team of judges in 15 seconds. Yes, 15 seconds.

You must not necessarily have a grand proposal with an intricate business plan; a small lucrative idea that addresses a real and demonstrated public need is what I am are looking for. We all hustle to get to the next level. “Realizing that anyone can do it is the first step. The next step is figuring out how you’re going to do it”.

How to Enter:

  1. Follow @playnetworknigeria on instagram
  2. Make a 15seconds instagram video summarizing your business plan
  3. Post the video on your own instagram page with the hash tag #beabossin15seconds and tag @playnetworknigeria
  4. Your video will be reposted on @playnetworknigeria instagram page and you will be tagged
  5. If your video (business summary) makes the top 5 videos with the highest number of likes (not paid likes), you will be invited to Abuja to meet with the judges
  6. If you’re invited to Abuja you will be given the opportunity to explain in detail your business plan, and if yours is the best you’re taking the 1,000,000 naira home

Contest begins TODAY and ends on October 31st!

Hmmm..Not to sound negative oh, but i hope so people see reasons with my comment ….so many will jump on the bandwagon, give out their ideas and do not end up getting the million naira, what happens? a few smart business men or his crew can jump on some of these ideas and make big bucks for them selves.

@swthrt so how will those that have ideas but can’t afford capital get the money if they don’t share the idea with somebody?

In the name of being careful ur ideas will die with u! If ur not ready to take risk in life then ur not ready to be an entrepreneur! Simple!

Someone doesn’t give its a problem. Someone now wants to give its another problem! Pls keep ur negativity yourself and support a charitable cause

Good on you Mr Okpaleke but enough with all these business plan competitions which are not really business plan competitions but are popularity contests. A 15 second pitch and then the video with the most likes is your entry barrier?! Seriously?!

Don’t style yourself as some sort of angel investor when in reality what you are doing is buying PR for yourself. It is disingenuous and insulting to people who are actually walking the very hard and lonely path of entrepreneurship.

And even more so with the people who have great ideas and the tenacity to build a business but are not schmoozers and bullshitters.

Likes on a video does not validate a business idea. But as you are an entrepreneur yourself, surely you know this.

Lmao at. Tobi! If u walk into a bank with a business idea and u ask for a 1m loan, they will look at the idea and still ask u to bring collateral. So oga Tobi wats ur point? Let ur thoughts not be negative. You should do the same as this charles guy in ur own scale and not see it as a stunt! Has odetola done such before! Yet he’s far richer than charles. Abeg go and post ur video and rest
