He distributes rice to the obviously hungry indigenes-just look at their faces-and adds salt to injury by inviting the news media. I used to hear that ekiti state has one of the highest numbers of learned folks in the south west-but I doubt how true that is.Hopefully he completes their dishes for them by sharing meat and palm oil for them today,as Xmas is tomorrow….yeye man

It just continues to increase the mentality of aid and dependence. Give a man a fish versus reaching a man to fish… Let him make institutional changes that will enable people to work for themselves and get rich themselves instead of holding them to ransom with crumbs he can afford to toss down.

What is wrong with people having enough to eat for just one day,… actually regardless of said governor’s motives of giving? Its a festive season, its not like he goes there daily to hand them bags of rice…While he works on infrastructure and other improvements, I don’t think people should starve waiting to be taught how to catch fish.

The man is taking care of stomach infrastructure. Lol. By the way, just because Ekiti folks are said to be very educated in terms of going to school and getting degrees; does not make them educated. We call those educated illiterate.

Abeg he tried. At least he is better than those governors that did not pay salaries and are wasting money on xmas decorations and carnivals when families are hungry.

I don’t know why these Nigerian politicians are so dumb. The trick is to teach them how to “plant rice” so that bags of rice would not be something big to them. Provide jobs for the people, lay foundations for future entrepreneurs so they won’t have to beg for more.
