President-Muhammadu-Buhari-BNPresident Muhammadu Buhari has suspended his scheduled working visit to Lagos billed for Monday and Tuesday.

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will now represent him, and would commission a number of projects in the state as part of the visit.

This was contained in a two-paragraph statement signed by  Osinbajo’s Senior Special Assistant, Media & Publicity, ‘Laolu Akande.

According to PREMIUM TIMES, Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu said that the president will now visit Lagos after the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. Shehu said:

The president is faced with scheduling difficulties and that is the reason for the postponement.

He needs more time for Lagos and for Edo which had earlier been stepped down. As a result of this, the visit has been scaled down and he is being represented by H.E. the VP, who is going to Lagos to commission a few projects, leaving the rest for Mr. President.

The president will undertake these visits after the Ramadan.
