The Governor of Savannah state is dead. Governor Akale died from injuries sustained during a car crash on his way to a party chieftain’s funeral.

In a related development, a source at the Governor’s office has insinuated that Deputy Governor, Angela Ochello might resign at a press conference slated for Thursday. According to our source, ‘there has been a lot of pressure on Angela from party leaders since Governor Akale’s demise. They believe she’s not experienced enough to be governor and are concerned she will pose a threat to the current power sharing formula’.
