    Okay people let’s be real!

I hope my comment gets posted because it’s intended to be constructive criticism.

    1. Why say “fun” photos? This event was anything but fun. It lacked ambience and was actually quite dull.

    2. Prices starting at N2,000? Where? Or do you mean for things like hair pins or other small accessories I didn’t see? Most of the prices started WELL above N5,000. Fear God oh.

    3. When I got in, the place was fairly empty. The clothes were everywhere and it took a while to see the labeling. NOBODY from the sales team walked up to say hello or to ask what I may looking for (something that should be fairly common in this sort of selling environment).
Rather they preferred to stay in clusters and laugh and joke with themselves or to fawn over people they recognized as their pals or as “celebs”. The reason I started with saying the place was fairly empty is because I understand that if it’s crowded, then it becomes unreasonable to expect to be attended to, however it was not..at least .for the first 20mins I was there.

This event excited me a whole lot when I first heard of it. I LOVE to buy Nigerian and was looking to spoil myself with a few pieces, however I left rather disappointed. The vibe and the attitude were not just conducive to making happy random purchases.

    Thank you . Bye.

@Leah, I am so glad you described it squarely. I have attended some events in Lagos and often felt odd. I taught I had zero networking skills. I realise it is the responsibility of the host to engage the customers. I hope they realise events shouldn’t be all about red carpet

Leah and Oscar – you both are the truth! A handful of people came out to partake in the first edition, it was a cool concept. I attended the first one and before the doors were finally opened, the organizers had snatched the juicy items including the most lusted after Celine bag from Leila Fowler’s closet. Like c’mon guys!!!! Fast forward to the second edition, I expected to see more people but apparently I did not. Perhaps it was due to the current recession or maybe bad testimonials from the first but puleezeeee, it was far from fun as described! (Please refer to Leah’s comments. she captured the mood very well) In short, I was there for only 15 minutes and I walked away without an item mainly because of poor service and the unwelcoming atmosphere. Let’s be honest, most of these people went there to get their picture taken ’cause they know they will get featured on Bella Naija of ThisDay Style. Let’s see how the third edition will pan out. Organizers should please take this as feedback and not bad mouthing.
