Ayo Van Elmar Unveils ‘Delirium’ Spring Summer 2017 Collection

Published

Ayo Van Elmar has unveiled its Spring Summer 2017 collection. The brand recently announced Funke Akindele Bello as the brand ambassador.

The SS17 lookbook is modeled by fashion enthusiast, Oge Agu.

The colours featured in Delirium play on the extreme edges, sheer, patterns, fringes, and volumes run acutely through an amplified state of wildness, that is eventually characterized with a balanced coherency.

The creative director describes the collection as a creation born out of sudden periodic raving states of restlessness and ecstasy.

Struggled with my response today, so will share a story instead. I tried painting with ” Paint the Night” In Lagos, and my first piece of work…. nah! Mba! My sisters told me in a – not very – nice way NEVER to quit my day job. Well, I just tried painting a second masterpiece ? a few days ago, and guess what? It turned out pretty ok. I’m sharing this story instead of saying ” it’s not by force,” which was my very first instinct, and exactly what my sisters thought of my painting. Please work a bit more on your craft. Thanks ✌?.

PS: My first painting looked like a canvas full of ojuju Calabar or Mmanwu; it was meant to be full of people so go figure!

Ayo Van Elmar… I love your style. Just doing it your way. As for the advisor, look a little deeper. This is not a first try on a canvas.

Really? No iota of creativity? OK. It’s all relative. And you’re entitled to your own opinion. Well done Ayo Van Elmar. You’re flying higher grounds.
