Nothing wrong with a small child being super stylish. If na oyibo pikin now like Gwen Stefani’s son, you guys will be admiring. What’s the correlation between kids being stylish and the entitled fuckboys we see around now. Yes Mothers, raise these entitled doucebags, fuckboys, Yoruba demons and women enable them but it has nothing to do with a stylish 3 yr old.

You keep emphasizing “stylish 3 year old” like he is the one who chooses his outfits. Clearly this is the handwork of his mother who is forcing him to be something he may very well not be. That is what is wrong with this photo shoot. Toyin is living vicariously through this kid and the way she’s going about it may have a negative impact on the child’s sense of self when he grows up. Also, this is not an issue of Nigerian vs American children, if an American child was dressed in such an ostentatious manner, any reasonable adult with proper parenting skills would recognize how innapropriate this is for a child. Hope this helps you understand why this is wrong.

Super cute kid! But is it really necessary? Remember, he is just a kid.

Handsome boy but this is one of the most inappropriate photo shoots I’ve ever seen. Where to start from??
    1) Whose bright idea was it to place him in the middle of two adults holding guns? Better don’t kill your son in the name of swag.
    2) Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t they in Nigeria? Why is he posing with a thick winter coat sigh
    3) LET A KID BE A KID. He is not a fashion accessory or your “small husband”.

One of her captions on her posts of her 3 year old was “Girls go hear am, Mr pink lips”.
Another one is “Hey you there, did you know I was born on the 1st of January, so respect yourself and gree for me o”
I am just here looking and sighing. Like this is how you- a hard working business woman who runs multiple businesses, employs more than 50 staff and single mother to an almost teenage daughter think? These are values you are teaching your toddler? Really?

What has 2017 got to do with it being totally inappropriate for a male child to be wearing earrings in Nigeria. Is that what you were thought growing up? Why can’t Nigerians just live by their own percepts and stop copying. Let the white people copy us the way it used to be back then. So cause it’s 2017 we should let morals be thrown in the wind. She wants the boy to be like his father lazy childish and a gigolo. Let’s do what is right and pleasing to the eyes pasisi (Kalabari interpretation for please) ?

      January 3, 2017 at 12:27 pm

U saw a fun photoshoot and you’re confused? Please don’t have a child yet. Because if the first thing that pops up in your mind after seeing those inappropriate photos with guns isn’t ‘this is wrong’ then you aren’t fit to raise a child. And I hope nobody lets you near theirs.

PS: Since when is the Nigerian Police used as props in a photoshoot? :/ Or are these random people just wearing uniforms? Really confused

I follow Toyin Lawani on instagram and i must truthfully say this woman is a Business woman, I call her jack of all trade… the other day it was her almost teenage daughter in a video replying someone who said something about her mom, then on the run way showing off her underwear all in the name of swagg (shaking my head) and now these pictures. I looked at them and i am like warristhis!!!!!!!! I wonder what impression she is trying to create with these kids, just can’t fathom. Who said tacky? I wish i add a better adjective…..as a mother it is an eye sore

  23. Vidavi

    January 3, 2017 at 10:54 am

Parents think they are being cute when they post these types of pictures of their kids. What they are really doing to is teaching the kid to value vanity above all else. He will grow up to be an arrogant man, and his mother will wonder where she went wrong. Let the child be a child, and if you must teach him something let it be the value of friendships, and compassion

I don’t know which is more disturbing: Having ur 3yr old son in the midst of Live ammunition all in the name of Photoshoot or having his ears pierced.

It’s not my place to tell a Mother how to a raise her child. He’s well feed, clothed and groomed. But that’s just as important as teaching real core values to sustain him in the larger world. Abeg, lemme just leave her to her case.

he’s a cute kid but some of these pictures are quite inappropriate for a 3 year old child especially the first one with armed guards and their weapons.

Talk from now till tomorrow it won’t change the fact that the Boy is a fine Boy,People can like to chat rubbish,Do you know Toyin to know the values she teaches her kids? I follow her and I can clearly see all her kids are very smart,I see how she trains and correct them, you people are too deep mehn, the woman does a wonderful job and she will always be my role model,I haven’t seen any Nigerian woman work like this woman,I have to give it to her,she inspires me a lot,
how can you say she’s bleaching her boy, when her daughter is chocolate color,Nwuguanu
why didn’t she bleach that one too,
Common stop the hate,I don’t see anything tacky in these pictures ,To me they are out of these world & if I may say,He’s the Best child model I have ever seen in my life and I can see a lot of people here are jealous of his mom,i can’t see anything wrong in a mother worshipping their kids,I can see she preaches positivity into their lives.

Oh lord!, fix her. Person pikin???. The first time i saw ear studs & ear rings on a male child is abroad, i was a JJC then but truthfully i was surprised but later when i adjusted to their system i got to know it is only the deliquents and dysfunctional households pierce their male children ear or allow their children to use ear studs. Them full UK, and bcos u’re well travelled this is the only good thing u can inbibe for ur child from the western world?, how about showing us a son displaying core values like problem solving skills at a tender age. Well!, ashawo no be work, like father like son things. U for put codeine for him hand now.

  33. Mz Bou

    January 3, 2017 at 3:03 pm

There’s something called magnetic earrings people,he doesn’t need to have his ears pierced, still I think it’s wrong. Instilling such wrong materialistic values in a child from a very tender age is wrong. End of story.

  34. Nadya

    January 3, 2017 at 3:23 pm

This Freda is a very stupid somebori….let your outer values speak volumes..who sees her In secret.no be wetin we see we judge. Toyin needs some parenting coaching skills. A child should always be treated like a child..he’s not even 6..just 3 haba…oti poju!!!!

    January 3, 2017 at 3:41 pm

Idiot!, u’re disenfranchising that kid. What normal 9ja parents would want a male child with pierced ears around their children?. This one no get sense o!, wannabe.

As inappropriate as the pictures might seem, I take it that they’re fun photo shots. The kid is so cute and I appreciate the effort his mum put into this. Hopefully it’s not an everyday thing, it’s his birthday people!

This little boy has so much swagger that he needed an armed escort so he won’t be jacked. He even dabbed! Well styled. BN- that’s not a fur coat but a fur trimmed parka. The Agbada is my favorite. I like this.
Questions for the commenters: how do you know the guns are armed? How come no one was afraid that he was sitting in the driver seat of the car, what if he released the emergency brake and the car started rolling backwards?. You guys stress over things that need no stressing over.
Anyway, my only qualm is that the policemen might get in trouble/lose their jobs.
Otherwise nice photo shoot. Very cute.

As a mother, and considering the fact that the little boy is only 3 years old. This is disturbing! I wouldn’t want my kids around him. Sorry! It’s a No!

  43. Person

If the child grows up to be whatever, that is on her, good or bad only she would loose sleep or sleep like a baby. My issue is the two mobile policemen standing with their rifle looking very ready to earn their pay by doing something useful for their country. How do they end up in a child’s picture? This is what is wrong with our system.

  44. Temi

    March 24, 2017 at 10:05 pm

Even though he is cute and all that! I think a kid should stay a KID not a grown up.. He looks strange like an OLD MAN WHO NEVER GREW UP.. kids like that usually have a VERY SHORT LIFE.. let’s be serious.. you expose him like that, and people rub their bad mouth on him.
