#BringBackOurGirls: Oby Ezekwesili released from Detention, says BBOG march continues tomorrow

Following the arrest of Co-Convener of the Bring Back our Girls (BBOG) movement, Oby Ezekwesili earlier today by the Abuja Police command, the former Minister of Education has been released.

She made the announcement on Twitter confirming that the #BringBackOurGirls march will continue tomorrow.

Thanks friends. We have left the FCT Police Command.

Tomorrow morning, WE SHALL continue with our .@BBOG_Nigeria #BBOGMarchToTheVilla that was FLAGRANTLY and LAWLESSLY INTERRUPTED by the @PoliceNG today.

WE REFUSE THAT ANYONE SHOULD INFRINGE ON OUR CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOMS.

7 other members of the BBOG movement including Aisha Yesufu, a known critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration who were arrested have also been released.

The group has been carrying out sit-outs in Abuja since more than 200 girls were abducted from Government Secondary School, Chibok, in April 2014 by Boko Haram insurgents.
