Check Out This Twitter Thread of Church Banners

There are churches everywhere in Nigeria.

Except in some Northern States where Islam is the religion of the majority, walk a distance of 5 minutes and you’re likely to have walked past 2 churches.

Hence, there are church banners everywhere.

A Twitter user @gidimeister made a thread sharing some of the hilarious church banners we’ve been seeing on the internet for years.

The banners advertise everything from the funeral service of demons (with the pastor clad in what is probably an Ancient Roman military clothing) to those questioning God: “OH GOD NA LIKE THIS WE GO DEY?”

I actually find a lot of these banners sad rather than funny – they’re a reflection on the poor state of mind of so many Nigerians. Religion is being used to exploit too many people in the country.

For many Nigerians, every problem is spiritual, the solution is their pastor.

Paul’s letter to the Romans (Italy)

Paul’s letter to the Corinthians (Greece)

Paul’s letter to the Ephesians (Turkey)

Paul’s letter to the Galatians (Asia minor)

Paul’s letter to the Philippians (Greece)

Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians (Greece)

Paul’s letter to the Colossians (Turkey)

Where is Paul’s letter to the Igbos? the Yorubas? the Hausas? the Ashanti? the Zulus?the Kikuyus? the Xhosas? the Mandingos? the Oromos? The Wolofs? The Maasai? The Benin? Etc .

Millions of Africans today are gathered in various buildings, reading, reciting and studying letters that were not addressed to them and have got nothing to do with them.
The brainwashing is so deep, we got to be opening people’s letters, read them and claim they were meant for us.

And to think the original owners of these letters, now have little or no relevance to them, magnifies the level of delusion some of us are into.

It will be reasonable if we can send the Romans, Corinthians, Colossians, Galatians Etc their letters and let them read them in peace please. Why are Africans busy reading people’s letters

It takes only a fingernail scratch on the surface to reveal the illogicality of your argument above. How come there are no letters to the British, American, Canadian and South East Asians, yet there are practicing Christians in those countries? Have you ever stopped to think about that?

Please pause before you lift tired, half-baked anti-Christian propaganda from the internet and practice critical reasoning, biko!
