Our girls are so beautiful but these wigs ruin it all!

Agreed. Really wish one of these beauty queens will compete with natural hair (and non-colored contacts)–things that make black women unique over any other race of women in this world. I feel like if someone’s beauty is derivative of a different standard, i.e. the straight long wigs and blue/light-brown contacts associated with white people, you really can’t win them at their game. I’m too young to have seen Edna Park who competed for Miss World in 1964, but in her pictures you see how beautiful she is, and how uniquely Nigerian, no need for wigs and all that.

These wigs on ‘all’ beauty queens are becoming ridiculous

Pretty girl, but please lose the wig and contact lenses. I think she would be naturally beautiful otherwise.
