Adekunle Adejuyigbe’s “The Delivery Boy” takes home Best Nigerian Film at AFRIFF

The Delivery Boy,” a film by Adekunle Adejuyigbe, has won the Best Nigerian Film award at The African International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

The film, which follows Amir, a runaway teenage suicide bomber and his newfound ally, a young sex worker, was released in 2018 and has been shown at the African Film Festival in New York; Nollywood Week Paris; Lake International Pan African Film Festival; Real Time International Film Festival, and the Lights Camera Africa Film Festival where it won the Best Supporting Actor award.

Amir and the sex worker’s journey in “The Delivery Boy” takes them through the underbelly of the city, exposing the hidden backside of the society and its dangerous culture of silence in the presence of evil.
