LASTMA officer allegedly shot dead by SARS Operative

The Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA) has announced the death of one of their officers, Adeyemo Rotimi.

LASTMA shared the news on their Twitter, writing that Adeyemo was shot to death by an officer with the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

Adeyemo was said to be on duty in Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State, on Wednesday, when he was allegedly killed by the SARS officer.

We are deeply saddened to confirm the death of one of our gallant officers, Adeyemo Rotimi, who was murdered in cold blood by suspected FSARS operative while discharging his lawful duties at his point in Iyana Ipaja on the 28th of November, 2018.

The entire management commiserates with his family at this time. May God grant them the strength to bear this loss. We pray he finds absolute peace with the Lord.
