Many have called 2018 the year of Burna Boy and, really, one would be hardpressed to argue.
After the singer released his album “Outside” this year, one would think he’d take a rest, enjoy the popularity of his hits, the Lily Allen-assisted “Heaven’s Gate” and the national anthem “Ye.”
But, no. Instead, Burna continued to drop hits, giving us the much loved “Gbona” and the still-on-the-airwaves “On the Low.”
Makes sense, then, that he decided to hold a concert for his fans at the end of the year
Of course, the concert didn’t come without the usual Lagos hiccups: African time. Burna didn’t arrive on stage until sometime after 2.
Still, the concert was a thrill, with D’Banj and 2Baba and Zlatan and Wande Coal coming on stage, and here’s hoping for #BurnaLive2 in 2019!
