Hello hello, happy almost half-year! Ignite GLA is super excited to invite you to it’s June 2019 fellowship themed ‘Rooted: God through the seasons’. Seasons are inevitable, they may be planned or unplanned, good or not-so-good; the way we react can greatly influence the outcome of these seasons.
Consider a tree, what we see are the leaves, branches and trunk. However, the roots of the tree which are one of the most vital parts of the tree is hidden away beneath the soil. The roots of a tree provide support and strength by holding it firmly in place so that the tree is not blown away by strong weather conditions; roots also absorb nutrients, water and minerals and feed them to the stem thereby helping the tree grow properly. That was a nice science lesson right? Now consider yourself, the seasons of your life might attempt to knock you down or make you feel like God has forgotten you but it is at these times that you should be rooted firmly in God.
Please join us as we discuss the importance of being rooted in God and how to keep your faith in different times and seasons. Ighiwiyisi Jacobs will be our guest minister and it promises to be an amazing time with God. Please do not come alone, extend this invitation to your friends, families and colleagues as it promises to be spiritually refreshing. The details of the fellowship are below:
Date: Saturday, June 1st, 2019
Time: 4.00 pm
Venue: Guiding Light Assembly, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi.
Ignite is the youth fellowship of Guiding Light Assembly. We are the young members of the GLA family – young men and women in business, young couples, young entrepreneurs; all young Christians who love Jesus and are trying to figure out how to live the Word in an increasingly complicated world. We meet on the first Saturday of every month to gist with the Holy Spirit, ask a lot of questions and to find out what He has to say about our everyday issues.
