Leadpath Nigeria Launches its Technology Startup Accelerator & 1.5 Million Dollar Fund with an Open Event in Lagos!

In a public launch on Friday 7th February 2014, Leadpath Nigeria unveiled its 1.5 million dollar accelerator fund and startup workspace to an audience of investors, entrepreneurs and developers in Lagos.

The new center  is aimed at startups doing business in software applications, mobile applications, electronic payments and big data. The accelerator is headed by Olumide Soyombo, Kazeem Tewogbade and Tope Ajao.

According to the founder, Olumide Soyombo “We are looking for startups with products and ideas that address a need or a gap in the market. These products must be robust and scalable. We will also need the founders to have the right startup attitude, that is, ready to sacrifice and with the required staying power.“

Also speaking, Leadpath Nigeria program manager Tope Ajao said “we were very impressed with the turnout and the excitement generated as we shared our unique approach to investment in this market. We had folk already making pitches at the launch event, and we advised to apply properly via the accelerator program.“

Other startups that are already in the Leadpath portfolio include Simer, Afriqbuy and Enreach.
