Ebola: Donald Trump’s Tweets Spark Outrage – Whoopi Goldberg & Freeze Respond

Donald Trump - August 2014 - 01
Whether it is taking on President Barack Obama concerning issues in America or telling celebrities “you are fired” on TV, Donald Trump is not a man to go easy with his words.

Ever since the Ebola outbreak, the American real estate mogul has been active on his Twitter page, talking about the deadly virus.

Donald is also not in agreement that the doctors who were infected with the virus in Sierra Leone, should be allowed back into America for treatment.

A few hours ago, Donald sent out tweets saying the government should build a wall and secure the borders. He also says that all flights to America from Western Africa should be stopped.

Whoopi Goldberg
His comments about the US leaving the affected doctors in Sierra Leone was addressed by the opinionated Whoopi on ABC’s “The View”.

Cool FM on-air-personality responded to his tweets concerning West Africa.

Though it’s sounds harsh but then it might be one of the ways of the country protecting her people from the Epidemic afterall if Nigeria had stopped all flight from Liberia, Guinea and sierra Leone from entering Nigeria we wont be having sleepless night about Ebola now……….let’s leave the fact that he talked against Africa because his suggestion is still right

The difference here is, America brought in CITIZENS that were infected. They knew they had the medical facilities to isolate the victims (If you watched the news coverage on the Ebola victim’s transport, you would have seen that). Comparing the way America reacted to the way the person (or people) transported to Nigeria is like comparing apples to oranges……

We should honestly stop being hypocritical, if our president said he wanted to bring ebola infected doctors into Nigeria for treatment and care, most of us will curse him to his 10th generation. All I see is a scared american with lots of money and a big mouth, but I won’t call his reaction abnormal. We are just quick to cry racist, its a really irritating mentality. And I honestly agree with Donald Trump, they can send their doctors down there and set up a center for treatment, that would help not only the americans but africans also. Freez should keep quiet he us equally as loud mouthed as donald, I bet him a hand and leg he couldn’t say that to Donald Trump’s face like whoopi always using twitter and instagram to act brave. Have a seat!

      August 6, 2014 at 10:47 am

It is not being hypocritical. The issue is if you have the resources to contain the virus, treat and help people which the US does have then you should help others , you already know they have that serum, the vacuum plane etc. Do you think they are so stupid to put their lives at risk if they didn’t have all that put in place. And the problem of a country becomes that of the world because it will eventually affect all if not contained in time.

I actually appreciate Donald Trump’s concerns. ‘Daddy’ Freeze sometimes you need to be selfish to stay alive. Donald Trump may be a tad ignorant and all but come on, it’s Donald Trump, is anyone surprised? The man is a year-round jerk!
In other news Black Don’t Crack. Whoopi Goldberg is more beautiful than she was when she was younger.

Story Story. Like we dont know how amricans are about protecting their lives and their citizens. why did this big mouthed daddy frezze not go off on Ghana for banning flightts from Nigeria? Is it America that will show concern for you when u dont show concern for yourselves? Letting a very sick man through airport security vomiting and fainting on the plane and see what just one man has caused us. we are not alert, we dont care about lives in this conutry the way Americans care about their every last citizen.
If Ebola was in the US and Obama was to come to Nigeria, Jonathan will never request that he be tested, yet they subjected all African leaders travelling to the states for test.
Now is not the time to get sentimental about anything, if we had done the right thing Nigeria would have been ebola free. I am in Nigeria and i feel There is nothing wrong with Donald Trump’s Opinion. Nobody wants to die cos of another person’s carelessness. My prayers are with those Infected doctore, Godbe with them.

Abeg, donald trump is right. This is not about sentiments, if our government had stopped flights from the affected countries; the Sawyer dude wouldn’t have brought it into our country. Freeze just sit your behind down; you alienated your fellow Nigerians when you posted your shit “wrist watch” on instagram.

The Problem is in the way these people view Africa. They still see Africa like the jungle they think Vasco Dagama or is it Columbus discovered.. I don’t blame @Donald Trump but our African leaders who do not understand what it means to fully develop a nation.
if only they understood their prerogatives and learn to empower their countries with the right infrastructures and basic necessities, wetin concern agbero and overload. Hissss.

    • Tony

      August 6, 2014 at 4:21 pm

@Solange. thanks for hitting the nail on its head. We Africans and our leaders need to change the image we have around the world. Such a statement would not be made if Ebola outbreak was in China, Malaysia, or some country in Europe

As much as safety is his primary concern, he came out extremely blunt.

    August 6, 2014 at 9:13 am

I agree with Donald. Just like the Lagos State Govt have acted stupidly by allowing that Liberia man into Lagos. Now, he has infected other Nigerians with that deadly Virus. LET THEM DIE THERE….. You don’t show such a dumb emotional compassion to people like that. #EBOLA is out to wipe out an entire Nation, so we must stop all flights from other west African countries coming into Nigeria. No Sentiment at all, My Opinion.

  21. Ify

    August 6, 2014 at 9:17 am

A very selfish man indeed. So because of one virus, the whole of west Africa should be alienated and ostracised. How would he feel if the tables where turned. Assuming he paid a visit to West Africa and was told he could no longer return to his country because of the assumption that he may have contacted the virus.

People should really not pay this old fool any attention. He has displayed his ignorance, arrogance and stupidity several times so I’m not even surprised by his tweets. Whilst I understand his fear of the the virus being transmitted in the US, it’s not enough to alienate those who have sacrificed their lives to help treat the patients in Africa.

Trump is an asshole…we all know this to be a fact. However, I agree with his message. No one wants a deadly contagious disease in their homeland and he shouldn’t be faulted for wanting to be safe.

Freeze or Daddy sound very ignorant… Didnt Arik stop flights to some countries, didnt Ghana do the same.. the moment the virus ( which i found out it is Ebola Virus Disease) “enters” a country, it will be had to control it. Donald might have sounded too harsh but again guys, what is Nigeria doing to search for a cure? how many people has AU sent to research and find solution to the virus since it broke out in 1970 – America or any other continient do not owe us research favour…

Wise up Nigerians , Wise up Africans , Research, treat and lead… we need to get to that point where we dont care about travel restriction to another country
