If it’s unconventional pieces that push the edges of fashion you’re looking for, you can definitely find some in Nigerian designer Weiz Dhurm Franklyn‘s first Pre-Fall 2015 collection.

With ethereal inspiration drawn from the crescent moon, star symbols, the brand’s new collection is filled with  cocktail dresses, day wears, evening gowns and more. The brand describes this as their most flexible collection yet with a major focus on its wearability.

Key aesthetics found in the collection include suede cut fringes, cut-outs, basket accents, geometric prints, collaging, faux fur, organza and beadwork.

Hmm…Weiz Dhurm Weiz Dhurm, obvious talent that still needs work. A few pieces look good, but he should definitely get a new creative director because the blond braid thing is a bit too tacky.

It’s called being unconventional. All you Nigerian who just like regular things. I see where he is aiming at. Beautiful clothes on a something as regular like braids. Pure juxtaposition.

The dresses are definitely a rare production by a Nigerian designer but i must say the my fav would be the last two. there is something about the collection that i cannot place my finger on but over all, i love the muse from which his collection sprung. Goes to say that only strong and unpredictable women can be found in the covering of his designs.

I love it. I love the infusion of street aesthetics to the collection. Clearly the brand remains very consistent.
