The ISIS group has welcomed a pledge of allegiance made to it by Boko Haram, and have expressed intentions to expand its influence to West Africa.

ISIS through its spokesman, Mohammed al-Adnani, made the declaration via an audiotape released on Thursday, AFP reports.

“We announce to you to the good news of the expansion of the caliphate to West Africa because the caliph… has accepted the allegiance of our brothers of the Sunni group for preaching and the jihad,” al-Adnani said.

In the 30-minute tape, the spokesman of the terrorist group further urged Muslims to join militants in West Africa.

On Saturday, an audiotape was released by Boko Haram in which the group’s leader Abubakar Shekau stated “we announce our allegiance to the Caliph of the Muslims, Ibrahim ibn Awad ibn Ibrahim al-Husseini al-Qurashi,” referring to IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

God, God, everybody firing prayers, prayers without work is dead, abi Is faith without works? Whatever sha, it’s not by praying, God has given us sense to reason, we can pray tilll tomoro but if we don’t strategize n work on ways to defeat n stop this terrorist, God won’t send dem angels to cum help us o. That’s our problem in ds naijaa, evrytin we say “God will fight for us”. He has given u wisdom to fight for yaself. By electing the right leaders n standing against corruption by speaking out and doing what is right. Minister will embezzle money meant for Security, we will seat and say “God will judge him”. Kai,

I just have one bible quotation for u miss b…
The Horses can be made ready for battle but victory is of the Lord…
N yes this other one too… If God does not Protect a city, the watchmen do so in vain…
Itsnt completely about picking the right leaders… We can pick whoever we want to pick n choose the right person but once God is not involved we r just wasting our time..
The moment Boko Haram merges with ISIS they no longer and to whoeveray or may not be sponsoring them here… They start answering to the ISIS general..
So pls do not say we are being stupid or Nigerians calling on God is useless…

@Mrs. b..my bible tells me that it is not of him that willeth or of him that runneth, it is of God that showeth mercy. So even if we have the right leaders but don’t have Gods mercy, all na wash. God first and God win!!

Hey ya, if only God had shown mercy on the six million plus jews that died. His own chosen beloved people just die anyhow like ants. He just stood by & watched, haba wetin they do? Thankfully the secular leaders didn’t turn eye and sprung into action to rescue them. Kudos to the big 3 & their allies.

@ms.b did not say we should not pray! She said we should do something based on reason after the prayer. No just pray and then siddon.
Person fit pray make God give am intelligent pikin, but if person just born the pikin siddon without sending am to school or teaching the pikin to read/love reading, the innate intelligence no go come out.

@lol…Why not? We need a president who can go to bed late and wake up in the wee hours of the morning. We don’t need an old president. Nigerians are at war. There are lot to be done.

What’s wrong. First thus statement is wrong. 2nd you determining the ability of a president by his age.
I used to blame GEJ but blind Nigerians like you are part of it.Nigeria will not progress of you keep thinking like this.

    March 14, 2015 at 11:15 pm

@lol you blame GEJ for Boko haram but support Pa Buhari who said “an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north” please tell me wasn’t he the same Buhari that said Niger Delta militants were granted amnesty so why shouldn’t Boko Haram be granted amnesty? Ok oh or wasn’t he the same Buhari that said Muslim should continue in their struggle until sharia law Bill is passed across the whole Nigeria. Is okay! This same Pa Buhari is also a member of the Arewa council of Elders that threatened to take Ihejirika to the International Court of Justice for massively eliminating Boko Haram members in the North. It baffles me how myopic Nigerias are or should I say we never remember the past…
