Nigerian born Kayode Ajayi, a student of Berklee College of Music wrote this really beautiful song and we just had to share. Titled ‘Praying For Peace’, the song’s lyrics are stirring and poignant.

Amidst all the strife going on around the world, we just want peace and love to reign. Here’s an excerpt from the lyrics of the song:
All we are saying is to live as one family; all we are praying is for peace and unity
All we are saying is to live as one family; all we are praying is for peace.

Bridge:
Where is the labor of our heroes past
Yet we sing this song everyday,
We want a wedding and not a funeral
No more weeping tears everyday.

According to the writer of the song, “When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.”

Praying for Peace was recorded in Shames Family Scoring Stage and The Ark.

so touching, the wars, the killing spree, as a new mom I am just sad that my son will grow up in this uncertain and mad world. God please give us peace and should the turbulence take us, please welcome us in paradise.
