LASTMA Reportedly Plans to Arrest Traffic Offenders in their Homes

Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) operatives are reportedly making plans to begin arresting traffic offenders at their homes.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Oluseyi Whenu, confirmed the news, Punch reports.

According to the report:

Whenu assured Lagos residents that a more effective traffic management and documentation procedure was being put in place, where traffic offenders were booked and given a grace period for payment and defaulters apprehended at home through the information on the motor vehicle database.

    some don’t even have homes. they sleep in their buses and continue the hustle in the morning.

    Hahahaha i laugh in american accent. So when they get to the address (in a state with no proper building approvals) the offender can bribe the officer wit jollof rice and palmie. Smh. We dont even have cameras that take shots of the plate numbers of cars that break traffic rules. We dont have such an effective system in place.
