This is a bit too much. I get that their school is strict and that’s all they have (fashion), but in overdoing it sometimes it looks ridiculous. They look too stuffy and way older than their age. Some of the girls are already looking for their Instagram fame and we know were that leads to. So this over unnecessarily strict university rules and overconfidenement of young adults, we know what this causes- we’ve heard their stories. Traditional wear is always a lovely choice of clothes nonetheless. Nice styles from @tochiey and @romanholiday.

Stop crying you killjoy of life. No 1 Buzzkill. Jealousy is a vice and not a virtue. Stop being so judgemental and enjoy the gift of a fresh new set of upstanding graduates being released into the society. Signed, proud Alma Mater of the great CU. Up Eagles!!! By the way, they all slay big time especially @tochiey and @romanholiday 😉 . Oh, and my handsome lads in their smoking hot agbadas.

They look stuffy? Because they are pillows abi? How are they overdoing it? I think you need to wash your face and clean the hate off your eyes. All i see are normal asoebi outfits: they look too old???? What type of phone are using ma’am? You need to change that techno. You are just a miserable hater. Sheesh

@anonymous, You only wish you were among these fortunate graduates…. Your writeup make you seem really pained. Pele!!!! These are graudates with BSc so why refer to them like they are secondary school kids going for events? Besides they just graduated from one of the best schools in Nigeria and you expect them not to over-do? Abeg receive sense jo…For your info, this has been part of the school tradition from inception. You don’t have to call her a foolish somebody; her comment was not insultive.
Congratulations stylish girls. I loved akuroma. Will get a style inspiration from some of you.

You call these stuffy? I think you are used to seing young girls who will put thier boobs on display, wear inappropriate dresses in the name of fashion and freedom to really appreciate these nicely dressed young men and women. Being young is not a certificate for nudity, young people are also entitled to nice, presentable traditional dresses.

This are just people excited about an amazing milestone, don’t see a reason for the hateful comment… There is no perfect school school because u have many imperfect people that make up a school… You don’t expect the school to the foundational work parents are supposed to do for their kids…some experience a transformation, some remain the same, some pretend so they can have a successful stay… Whatever the case is they have successful graduated, their lives are in their hands n it’s no ones problem…Just go with the flow of their celebration.

i just dnt get why people have issues with private universities, the students that go there are perfectly happy, but i see others want to make a happy situation sad.It has been proven the graduates from this universities are successful at home and abroad, socially, educationally, financially and spiritually. Good luck new graduates, see you on the battlefield, life begins

@anonymous the hate won’t help matters… Just rejoice with the young graduates. Having a nice fashion sense should not make them kids remember they just graduated in one of the best schools in Nigeria ..four or five years is not easy ooo….. full of tears ,pains, joy ,peace, then tell me why they shouldn’t slay. Some are on a (first class ,2:1 )my dear
we only convocate once not twice so it’s their time ..,,I repCU. no matter how difficult the rules are ,yet they are the best uni slayers in Nigeria.

I dont get this at all. I mean, i know we are the original enjoyment people and no matter the circumstances we will celebrate….but ehn these folks are graduating and entering into one of the worst economic recessions. I was hoping to read about business plan competitions, launching of agro ventures or fashion ventures or tech apps to solve pressing issues etc. Congrats to them. They look great, i hope they are ready to take on the great unknown, cause its rough out here.

    • Bimps

      June 29, 2016 at 6:50 pm

Umm… didn’t you read the header before clicking the web link? I’m failing to see the correlation between “Aso-ebi”, “graduation” and “business plan competitions”. If you want to see agro ventures and all that, you can check the university’s official website or the official website of its sister school – Landmark University and not the Weddings section of BellaNaija.
