Ultima Studio was a beehive of activities during the final lap of the MTN Project Fame Season 9 auditions that saw participants gathered in their numbers, to audition for the biggest musical talent show in West Africa.
One of the many hopefuls, Mide who in Season 8, got to the opening gala before he was sent home, expressed strong determination that this year; his moment was finally here, and he came to win.
For many others, it was a new and exciting experience. One thing common to all was the excitement in their faces as they jumped, danced, sang and clapped in anticipation for their auditions.
At the end of the three-day activity, the panel of judges comprising Shola Allyson, Cohbams Asuquo and Gloria Rhodes selected over 20 aspiring artistes. Those not fortunate enough to make the cut this year will have to wait for another opportunity next year. For the selected ones, the auditions brought them a step closer to their dreams of becoming the next Project Fame winner like Iyanya or Chidinma.
The selected fame hopefuls drawn from all the regions where the auditions held i.e. Abuja, Accra, Ibadan, Port Harcourt and Lagos, will battle to get the nod to be selected into the MTN Project Fame Academy.
The overall winner of the competition will walk away with a grand prize of N5m, a brand new SUV and a recording deal worth millions of Naira, and other fabulous gifts for the runner ups.
