Kanye West Demands that Apple Should cut Jay Z a Check for Tidal and “Let the Kids enjoy the Music”

Kanye West is once again very outspoken on Twitter.

The rapper shared his view on the on-going battle between streaming platforms – Apple and Jay Z’s Tidal.

Yeezy, along with acts such as Rihanna and Coldplay, signed on as part owners in the company.

Despite a number of high-profile exclusives (the most notable being Beyonce‘s ‘Lemonade’), the service lags by quite a margin behind market leader Spotify and Apple Music.

For a while now, there have been talks about Apple wanting to buy Tidal but Jay Z has reportedly refused to sell.

Now, it looks like Kanye’s irritation comes stems from the commercial downside of being on Team Tidal. He went on a rant on twitter in a bid to “broker peace between the two sides”.

If Jay Z is half the businessman that we think he is, he definitely won’t sell Tidal. Its not going to happen. He will rather hold on to it and watch it go through tough competition and adverse times, then eventually find its feet than sell to Tim Cook. It won’t happen… On the other hand, it looks like Kanye wants his friend to sell to Cook but Jay Z won’t.

Abeg leave the tech industry for the techies.

Most of y’all still don’t understand that industry is not like most industries where you just hire people and shout orders.

Good software engineers love to work for Inspiring techies too. When they see CEOs like Jay-Z, they either avoid them or charge them big which means their service will always be poorer compared to Spotify. (not to mention Apple can always impose Spotify on all their apple platforms)

Most people don’t understand that because twitter is worth 10+ billion dollars doesn’t mean their profitable and hell doesn’t mean the CEO is having a time of the life and spending money around like May Weather. The tech industry is one of the most competitive and unstable industries in the world. This is what non-techies never get. They think is about hiring developers and appearing on forbes list.

Aside from google, facebook, amazon, ebay and some of the big names. Most tech companies are not profitable at least not yet. The ones doing very well have either been there for long (pioneers hence well connected and established) These guys have no problem getting investors since they have a proven track record. Google was profitless for years just simply amassing a strong userbase before they began to monetize. Quora has still not implemented their business model on their site. Instagram (which is now owned by facebook) had zero business model but people felt it was way cooler than facebook so facebook paid for it. they used has their money maker and instagram as their cool product.

Non techies feel its just about whipping HTML and CSS and wham you’re a billionaire.

They get a dose of reality when they venture. They realize that to survive its either you’re very innovative (Pioneers. This is the surest way based on history) You’re an excellent engineer (these guys find it easier to attract other top engineers which equals quality product -> cool -> $$$ ). Or you have a lot of money to burn (but then again, who does? Truth is developers will only come in to get paid and leave once their tired)

They’ve realized this and they’re trying to sell out.

  3. Sure you are just ranting.

Well I disagree, most of the innovation they sit on with patterns are mainly from America tax payers check.Nothing special about them.

Black money needs to circulate within Black community. Black business equals Black economic freedom equals Black political freedom. Do not sell out, hold out!
