BN Style: Lupita Nyong’o gives a Double Dose of African-Inspired Gele at #TIFF16
Actress Lupita Nyong’o arrives at the world premiere of Disney’s Queen of Katwe at Roy Thompson Hall as part of the 2016 Toronto Film Festival where the cast, filmmakers and real-life stars received a standing ovation.
The film, starring David Oyelowo, Oscar winner Lupita Nyongo and newcomer Madina Nalwanga, is directed by Mira Nair and opens in U.S. Theaters September 23, 2017.
For the screening, she was styled in a strapless House of Herrera yellow gown, adorned with velvet, royal blue floral patterns which she accessorised with over $600,000 worth of jewellery from Tiffany & Co. She added a dramatic flair with a matching color headpiece that wrapped around her head, popping a bright red to her lips and opted for metallic blue pumps.
Lupita later changed into a short blue and black dress that featured which she accessorised with anther colourful headwrap.
