When Luxury Meets Fun! That Amazing Afternoon when BMW Club Nigeria Celebrated BMW at 100 with Freeze, Toolz, Olamide, Ozzy Agu & More




BMW Club Nigeria, on Saturday, September 10th 2016, rolled out an amazing, never seen before motor sports themed celebration, to mark the 100 years centenary anniversary of the BMW brand.

The event which took place at the prestigious Eko Atlantic City had a uniquely designed sequence of activities in a motorsports themed set-up.

The event highlights included a display of the latest BMW models, road safety awareness by a top FRSC official, bike exhibitions, music performances and an ultimate shopping experience. The main attraction was the exhibition of the uniquely customised BMW models around a racetrack which captivated the audience.


According to a PowerHouseMedia source – the activation firm that was in charge, BMW is all about luxury and performance and we are happy to be part of this unique show. Some of the guests included motorsports champion Shanin Nouri, Freeze and Kayla of CoolFM, Deji and Toolz of BeatFM, Olamide, Ozzy Agu, Ozzybosco and many other celebrities, top media and corporate executives.


One guest said “this show is way beyond what I expected”. “We are very surprised with the turnout despite the heavy downpour”, another said.

One media expert called the show “a new platform for advertising” as top corporate brands like First bank of Nigeria, Coscharis, Alpha Mead Facilities Management, Leadway Assurance, Pitstop, Yokohama, Mall for Africa, Regno Media, Djteefilms, Rocsol traffic safety, Uber, Laurent-Perrier Champagne and Powerhorse seized the opportunity to identify with performance.

    @That’s the result of wrong product pairing. Indicates the need for better brand management in Nigeria. Most alarming is the selection of brand ambassadors for certain brands.

    @ AnnieRose The use of brand ambassadors has been so thoroughly abused in Nigeria, that I am pretty sure it makes no difference to the average consumer anymore. I wonder what they use as the selection criteria. You have a brand that has multiple ambassadors and when you put them all together there is no common thread connecting them all. So how exactly are consumers supposed to know what the brand DNA is???
    A luxury brand is having an event and it is dominated by people who are not the primary target market. No one spends this kind of money to engage brand tourists! I think the solution is to have agencies that focus on luxury brand management not using the same mass market agencies to sell luxury brands…kole werk!
