100% stolen script from Sanaa Lathan movie “SOMETHING NEW”

how embarassing – Nollywood – get it to gether. We have a million stories to tell without always going to STEAL someone elses script

Who are you for God’s sake? Did God really create you? To be so libelous in your pursuit of destroying someone else. Get the hell of here and crawl back into the pits of scum you came from. Did you even see the movie? Hateful disgusting human being

You are definitely a terrible human being with nothing but negativity to spew…. I have seen something new and it’s definitely nothing like ISOKEN. Besides, this wont be the first time a movie about marriage and all that talk will be addressed.

And somehow you feel Oyinbo people are the only ones with stories to tell about interracial marriages abi? Well done, amaju pinnick ?… It’s great to finally see someone telling the story of the issues in marrying an outsider as a Nigerian woman biko… This is a part of our stories as Africans… stop being a party pooper and let others who haven’t seen the movie judge for themselves.

Odine and Lol (or maybe the movie makers them self or their relatives)

i wont call you names or insult you back cos you are just hurt cos you (or should i say THEY) got caught of STEALING . How many times has nollywood STOLEN SCRIPT from HOLLYWOOD
You just who refuse to fact he truth that this is a 100% STOLEN SCRIPT.
-Dakore plays Sanaa Lathans Character from SOMETHING NEW
-Funke, Lydia, Damilola play Taraji , Wendy & Golden Brooks character SOMETHING NEW
    – Jospeh Benjamin plays Blair Underwood character SOMETHING NEW
and Mark Rhys finally plays Simon Bakers character from SOMETHING NEW

Have i seen it yet – No- but i can bet you anything i am 100% right. When it comes to nollywood movies, The trailer sums it up pretty well for me. They are not hard to predict from beginning to end.

so GTFOHWTBS – you think i am one of those kiss ass nigeria movie watcher who praise mediocrity you got another thing coming.

I am glad its premiering in London cos when the oyinbo reviews it am sure that one you will accpet their harsh critique. Its this nonsense that is tolerated with our movies and when we finally get to international film festivals and they tell us “our movies aint shyt and we blow our own horns ” you get mad. Just cos you are in nigeria and you can get away with intellectual property stealing from the west for not suing – you think everybody should shut up

go on netflix or youtube watch SOMETHING NEW starring Sanaa Lathan and Simon Baker. IT IS NOT DIFFERENT. !!!!!

Nigerians weak ass defence come back when constructively critiqued: You are Jealous, You are Wicked Person, Or You are a hater. Please that tired ass response is so weak and expired. Try again.

I will come back on this page to see your response after the nation wide release in nigeria and tell me again i am wrong.

Take it from someone who has seen both movies you mentioned, they are not the same. The fact that you haven’t even seen the movie and claim to know its the same is quite weird. So you just assumed it’s the same movie because it has elements similar to Something New from the trailer? Something tells me you know the makers of the film personally and are out to rubbish their efforts in any way you can… and that, my dear, is not a good look. You should see the movie first before outrightly calling Nollywood names you know….the industry is really evolving, and that’s evident in this film.

A word to BN, I am not sure what you are encouraging, allowing comments like this on this post. This person obviously has a bone to pick with the person who made this movie. She claims she has not seen the movie, yet goes on to slam it and claim the script was stolen? Madam Lauren, scripts are adapted all the time, Hollywood adapts stories from Russia, India, and elsewhere… heck you have the Indian version of Italian Job and other Hollywood movies. Did Sanaa Lathan have a mom that spoke Edo language or speaks in tongues like I saw in the trailer I watched? Please let people flourish, and stop sounding so bitter and destructive towards the hardwork of others. Let people see the movie first and be the judge.

Lauren, Lauren, Lauren? How were your grades in school? With zero marks and repeating classes. I don’t know this film maker from Adam and I have seen this movie, from the production quality to the story to the casting, it’s so beautiful that all I can do is wait and watch it again when it comes on Netflix (please come on Netflix so that people like Lauren will have major tummy aches as this movie soars… Lauren, belly ache will finish you…. Lmaoo). More importantly, I have also seen something new and it remains one of my Favourite African-America films of all times and baby girl, it’s a different story all together. I am convinced you know this film maker, unfortunately she’s unaware of you and pursuing her dreams while you hide behind your cheap ass phone and spew hate. Baby girl, get a life and stop hyperventilating over what you don’t know

@lauren Facts and opinions. It is very obvious where you belong. You do not make such stupid criticism of a work you haven’t seen YET. “The really intelligent people have an attitude of fact finding not fault finding “
