Yomi Shogunle says making videos of food is unhygienic after officers harassed blogger for doing so
Yomi Shogunle, head of the Police Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit, while reacting to an issue of harassment suffered in the hands of the Nigerian police by a customer for making videos of food, has said it is unhealthy for people to record videos of food.
Blogger, Unilag Olodo, had visited Mega Chicken in Ikota to get food, and he made a Snapchat video of the food on display.
Asked by the security men to delete the video, he refused, and the police was called.
The Policemen attempted taking his phone by force, and when they succeeded, they tried to delete the video.
He posted the video on his social media accounts, and it quickly gained traction.
Yomi Shogunle reacted to the video, asking if the policemen were really policemen. He wrote:
Are those uniform guys in Mega Chicken video policemen ni? Wrong to enter an eatery & start taking photos/videos of their food!
