Whether or not the president should run for a second term of office has been often debated by the populace.
Supporters of the president have urged him to run, including the Kano State Governor Umar Ganduje, who said he’d sue the president if he decides not to run.
Others, like former leaders Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Babangida, have however described Buhari’s first term as a failure, asked that he step down graciously, and allow the ushering in of a new administration.
