She says:

I’m sharing this recipe for my twist on Groundnut Soup and I’m sure you’re going to like it. It’s a really versatile soup so you can adjust it to suit your taste in terms of meats and vegetables used. You can use Goat Meat, Beef or Chicken and you can also use Scent Leaves instead of Uziza Leaves.

      I just made this (without the bell peppers) and added “Ogiri/Dawa Dawa” (as an Igbo girl loll) and Damn!!!!! It’s finger licking good. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

    I remember seeing this tip on Dooney or one of the old school food blogs… Uziza literally changed my soup life! Now I just add it to almost everything ????
    Scent leaves/basil works great in groundnut soup too… hmmn hmmn hmmn ?

    Scent leaf is “nchuanwu’. It is not the same as Basil.

      Actually, our local scent leaf is in the basil family and is called African basil. 🙂

    It looks delicious and well-prepared ! By the way, groundnut soup is native to we Etsako people of Edo State. It would be nice to add that it’s tastier when thick, but it’s quite calorific 🙂
