Premium Times: Buhari to Name AIG as new IG of Police

Premium Times reports that an Assistant Inspector General of Police Abubakar Adamu Mohammed is set to be named the new Inspector General.

Ibrahim Idris, the present IGP who has passed the required 35 years in office and must resign, met with President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.

A source who spoke to Premium Times shared that Idris has gone to move his things. The source said:

We have a new police IG. Ibrahim Idris has gone home to move his things from the official quarters and we are now waiting for a formal handing over.
