It’s Mercy Akamo here. I am back from Los Angeles courtesy of our amazing partners Air France! Last weekend was just so beautiful. I had a great time on my trip to Hollywood from Lagos to attend the Nollywood in Hollywood showcase.
Here is a full recap of my experience.
Departure
I got to the international airport in Lagos pretty early. After checking in, I went to the Air France lounge to chill for my flight. I bumped into some of our favs like actor and musician, Banky W, director of Up North Tope Oshin, and director of King off Boys Kemi Adetiba.

Morning after
We had breakfast and prepared for the first movie screening which was Up North. Before the showcase kicked off, Tope Oshin and the founder of Nollywood in Hollywood Ose went to Los Angles biggest TV station KTLA to talk about the event. This was a big deal. Prior to the event day, the LA Times also did a piece on the event featuring Banky W and Kemi Adetiba.

Day 2 at the University.
Visiting the University of South Carolina to attend the panel conversations, movie screening and Q and A session were really good. Totally loved the vibe of the environment and the conversations that happened. Few hours before the start of our day, Tope Osin visited Marvel Studio.

My flight back was so restful. I ate a lot, drank lots of apple juice and watched movies + when I got to Paris, I had relaxed at the AirFrance lounge.
